I remember hearing that the Jazz had Miles on the trading block. He seems to me to be the most trade-able Jazz player we have. He is an expiring, cheap contract. Some team may still deem him valuable and offer us a late first, or 2nd round pick for him straight up (like we got out of Brewer). Also with the reemergence of Howard, and the emergence of Burks, Miles becomes more expendable as a logjam will occur once Bell gets back from injury.

This poll isn't "Do you want to trade Miles", but rather "Do you think he will be traded". I personally see it happening. It would save money, and he has become expendable with the emergence of Burks. We saw the same thing with Brewer, who was a much more liked and valuable player to the Jazz.

50/50 chance

Trade idea I heard on the radio the other day. CJ for Eric Bledsoe? Yay or nay?

Yay x10000. I doubt that is possible though. I'm looking at someone like the Bulls or some contender giving us their first round pick because they want to bolster their bench.

CJ to LAC for their 1st rounder? They could use a SF. I don't know if they have draft picks or not though. They do have PGs to spare however.

I would be down like Charlie Brown for either. I think a trade happens involving CJ though. He is still young enough to have interest, and I think teams see value in his (erratic) abilities.

Good point with the Brewer comparison... we traded Brewer because we knew we couldn't (weren't going to?) going to give him what he wanted next season, aka he was not in the future plans. CJ isn't in future plans either.. so I'm sure we'll try and at the very least get what we can for him, if he isn't part of a bigger package.

Well I don't hate CJ as much as the rest of you. But I don't care if he is traded. Especially if we get a late first rounder for him. I just don't see it happening. I don't think KOC is going to trade anybody away this year. I think he is trying hard to make the playoffs, and doesn't want to give up any man power. I believe that the Jazz orginization values there reputation of being in the playoffs almost every year, that they will do anything they can to do it. Even if that means sitting the young guys as long as they can. Because they are intent on protecting their brand. Which is that the team is always there in the fight. Which is nice, but sometimes you need to be bad in my opinion.

Really why I say all this is because I am praying he makes a freaking trade. I want to be wrong on this one so BAD! It's just that KOC has disappointed me too many times. I don't have faith in him.

Whoever were to trade for him, would they get signing rights to him? I don't think they do. Do they? So I can't really see too many teams wanting to give a a 1st rounder for him

Look at the Jazz's recent track record for trading expiring assets that will get them assets back though. They did it with Brewer, Williams, and Boozer recently.

Nobody wants a chucker who is so inconsistent on the road, and plays bad/no defense.

If you look at a lot of top teams, Miles is actually a better than a lot of their primary bench players. Yes he is inconsistent, but top teams want a guy who can provide energy and a scoring punch, even if it is inconsistent.

Will they want to part with a first rounder to get him? Depends on the team and how desperate they are to bolster their bench. If the Grizzlies did it for Ronnie Brewer (who clearly was a bad player minus the system and Williams) then someone could do it for Miles.

Even though we all hate Miles, he is still better than most players taken in the mid to late 20's, where most playoff contenders find their draft picks ending up.

No, he won't be traded. No one is going to give us a shooter for him and he isn't worth a quality pg to any team. And we don't need bigs. Although his contract is expiring, it isn't big enough to be of much use unless he is packaged with Millsap or Jefferson. Whether we like him or not, he is cheap insurance on the team.

I suppose we could give him away for an early second round pick, but I can't see KOC pulling that trigger.

He is just so damn inconsistent on the road. I'm too lazy to look up his stats but it's a large discrepancy between the two. I would like to trade him with Sap/Jefferson and Harris for something of value. I know the Jazz are looking to trade him though. You could see it by the way he has stayed in games when he shouldn't be.

Everytime I look at your screen name it reads to me. BI GAL. That **** is turning me on. haha. Now Big Al is BI GAL to me too

We need a guy who can hit a three when we need it and can punish the D for leaving him open. You know like all the other teams have! CJ and picks.. get it done!

I would rather just trade CJ to free up time for Burks and Hayward.
