At this point, I'm convinced that Burks can develop into a better shooter than CJ has ever been.

Not that it would be especially hard.

50/50 chance

Trade idea I heard on the radio the other day. CJ for Eric Bledsoe? Yay or nay?

i would love this. doubt the clips would let him go for CJ unless they havent scouted him correctly.

CJ does have alot going for him to be traded.

however, i see the jazz keeping him. he can be kept for pretty cheap, has expressed desire to stay, has accepted a psuedo perma bench role, and is sort of a veteran (you know how the jazz love them veterans)

He can definitely have better shot selection, but CJ is actually a fairly good shooter when he takes shot within the offense.

If there is a God and if he willingly takes my 10%, then Chucker MUST be traded. If he's re-signed for any reason at all, I will cease to be. I'm serious, I will probably just spontaneously combust or implode on myself ala a Red Giant.

Just saw on ESPN that Clippers denied Jamall Crawford for Eric Bledsoe. So there is zero chance we get Bledsoe for Miles.

I think we end up getting a draft pick for C.J. unless he is packaged with Harris, or Millsap, or Jefferson. He has had plenty of time to secure his future with the Jazz and has not done so and is no longer a future part of Jazz. With Hayward moving to the bench now it looks like C.J. will also be playing more minutes than Hayward to be show cased between now and the trade deadline. Haywards minutes will then go back up after the trade deadline. Also don't be surprised if the Jazz try to get something for Bell or Howard now that they are both starting and being show cased. It will be interesting to see all four young guys in at the same time coming off the bench.

I depends on what our record is around March 12th or 13th. If it is worse than now, then KOC will likely see no reason to keep him for a playoff push and be willing to package him or just trade him for a draft pick.

Don't trade CJ! "He's still young." Just give him a few more years and He'll come through eventually. I swear!

Don't know if it's already been brought up, but I could see a team like the Celtics taking him on for their pick IF they stay with their core and try to make one more run. They need depth desperately. I would do it in a heartbeat. An extra pick (even late 1st round) could be huge in trading up in the draft if there is a specific player we are targeting.

I'll take a late first round draft pick for CJ.
Is there any good late first round SF's or SG's?

nbadraft.net has Quincy Miller at #30. Lol, that's off...but imagine if we end up getting Miller for CJ.

I voted no just because it's out ****ty destiny.

I'd love a Howard + Miles trade to a (semi-) contender for a late 1st and some suckass wing back who's expiring and who we'd have no trouble planting on the bench.

Who fits that bill? Maybe Nocioni (from Philly who we've worked with previously) as we'd have a team option on him at year end (and could say bye) and Philly is really starting to stumble and could use a little life.

The more I think about this, I love it. It frees up major time for Burks and Hayward. Nocioni can suck it for all I care as our 4th wing. We would get a 1st rounder somewhere in the 18-23 range likely, thus helping to stockpile more picks. I could actually see Philly doing it for bench help, postseason leadership (Bell), and it doesn't kill them financially.

Pretty much every contender would have to trade someone making a similar amount of money as CJ. Those pesky CBA salary cap rules. Indiana would be one team that would not. Doubt we get a 1st rounder for him anyway.

I would be down like Charlie Brown for either. I think a trade happens involving CJ though. He is still young enough to have interest, and I think teams see value in his (erratic) abilities.

I would be down to trade him for a Charlie Brown poster.

If the Jazz want assets, they can get some from Philly and Cleveland.

Jazz would trade out Jefferson and Miles.

Jazz get Jamison (exp), Nocioni (exp), Philly 1st, Miami 2013 first (via Cleveland)

Cleveland gets Jefferson and Philly gets Miles.

Alternatively, Jazz can switch Cleveland with Charlotte

Jazz trade same players and switch Jamison with Maggette, and get Portland's 2013 first round pick (top12 protected through 2016, where it's unprotected).

Charlotte gets Jefferson in this scenario. Better draft pick, but have to deal with an extra year of Maggette, instead of getting two expiring contracts.

Of course, this all would have to be accepted by all three teams.
