What's new

Utah Jazz @ Cleveland Cavs, 5pm MT

And how much game experience did you need to figure it out?

Me or Favors?
Favors needs more than just 13 minutes a game....a lot of times he commits those fouls, he either doesn't know his own strength or it's a flop on the other player.
As for me, I dont......play in the NBA

Just ignore craig, he's in favor of the Jazz wasting this season by riding the vets and playing the youngsters scarcely all for, at best, a first round sweep from OKC.

Gordon Hayward just did his best Devin Harris impression- pushing the ball up the court, shooting kick out 3's and running the pick and roll. He was aggressive all night long.

Watson and Tinsley were abused by Sessions and Irving. Burks is really quick defensively but he takes really bad angles. He could learn a lot from Bell's positioning.

Howard created a bunch of easy assists for Millsap and Jefferson with his cutting.

Stupid Jazz for winning and stupid Cleveland for letting them. Stupid Corbin for benching Hayward and him having a good game making the Jazz win and stupid Corbin for only playing CJ in the first half and Burks in the second half.

Stupid Al for passing it so stupid much and getting stupid assists who cares.

Am I doing it right?

Nope, you have to cheer on their glorious march into mediocrity. Come on, does anyone believe they are going anywhere with this group of vets? They are stupidly and desperately trying to claw out a few extra wins this year, meanwhile stunting their only hope to be a good team in the future.

Ok, I will do the heavy lifting:

Yeah, Al got 10 points, but it took 8 shots to get it.
He only got to the line once, which shows that he sucks since he never draws any fouls.
He only has 4 assists. The damm black hole never passes!
He only got 7 rebounds. He would have 10 if he would just show a little effort
He has only 2 blocks. He should have 8, with how many times the Cavs have gone to the hole.

You forgot to bring up that it was against Cleveland. CLEVELAND.

Hayward had a +/- of 0. CJ had +8. Even over a larger sample, can this be a useful stat?

First of all, +/-? This is the equivalent of posting an article from Huffington or National Enquirer as fact. Secondly, what makes you think anyone is going to take the time to read that giant copy/paste jumble of numbers? Pure clutter. If you want to make a point, then actually do it with something that is readable. </rant>

Dude, avoid the BROWN. You'll get it. Eventually.

It's ok, give it till the end of the week....

We play Philly and Chicago in a b2b....

Yay! So we barely beat a depleted Cleveland team! Yay! What seed is Cleveland playing for? I forgot!

Soooooooo what happens when we play @ philly and chicago?

Ooopps...

Which is the key here.

We're celebrating a win over Cleveland....

That tells you all you need to know.

Play the young guys... Develop them for next year! Scout damn well this March Madness in order to make smart moves in the lottery.

PRONTO!

Jazz have the second worst road record in the WC and the fifth worst in the league....

Yes folks, even NO, Cleveland, Golden State, and Toronto have better road records than we do...

That's cuz we have been playin the youngin's too much. Ty has that corrected now, we are gonna go on a tear and wind up number one seed. Yup, we are.

A great bounce-back game from Hayward and road win for the team (any road win for the Jazz is a great win) but did anyone get the feeling that if that game was 2 minutes longer Cleveland would've won? 5 minutes left and we got passive, stopped attacking offensively and defensively we let them drive the lane at will. Oh well, games aren't 50 minutes but it did feel like they had us on the ropes in the closing minute when they cut it to 5 and had the ball.

wait! you mean the down-the-stretch Jazz hum on camel balls!?!?!? when did this happen?

So this is what give Jazz fans the home crowd edge

I seriously don't know why some of you even bother to watch the jazz. You just get pisssed off, as if you really think Ty is going to start doing what you want him to do.

Back in 04, I remember watching the jazz play the Nugs. I really wanted the jazz to win the game. They made so many dumb mistakes all night and I just kept getting more and more pissed off. My brother was watching with me. I just moaned the whole game about how they were blowing it.

Well, the jazz pulled off a win when Yoyo hit a last second shot.

But I was too pissed off to enjoy it. My brother was going crazy with joy and I was sulking on the couch.

After that, I realized that I was getting too mad and not enjoying the game. This was also happening when I watched BYU sports.
I decided then to calm down or stop watching.

As for playing the youngsters, I have seen that argument done over and over for years.
A lot of great players had to sit and wait until they were ready.
I also have seen many players get thrown out there because they had so much talent, only to crash and burn and go nowhere.

Here is an example of a guy who had to wait til he was ready:

John Stockton. I was old enough to remember when he was a rookie and wasn't playing much. In fact, he didn't play much until about his third year.
Ricky Green was the starting pg for the jazz and even an all star one year.
Ricky saw rigth away that Stock was one day gonna take his job, but that day was not going to happen right away.
When Stock was ready, he started and Ricky was on his way out.

When Karl was ready, the jazz traded Adrian Dantley and gave Karl the keys to the team.
At that time, a lot of people thought the jazz were crazy to trade Dantley. Dantley was a great scorer and it took a lot of faith for the jazz to turn to a young Karl Malone. But he was ready and he proved it.
Also it helped that Jazz management didn't like Dantley as a person.

When the jazz current youngsters are ready, they will get their chance.

Looking at Stockton's #'s he got around 20 mpg his 2nd and 3rd year, which were I would like Favors to be. I would like Kanter to be around 15-18 mpg for his rookie year (like Stockton was), and then to get more around 20 mpg his sophomore year.

Nothing I hate about that.

A lot of good teams have been losing to crappy teams lately. Just look at the lakers.

And I must say, that has been quite enjoyable (seeing the lakers turf it)

I didn't even notice that the Lakers have nearly as bad as road record as we do.
