Following potential 2012 draftees

Henry Sims is an interesting player. I don't know what else he is.
I have just found out that there are some mock drafts, where he goes in the second round.
Dude has the passing skill of a guard and is very strong.
BTW, here is another "diamond in the rough";

so Jazz are looking for a sharpshooter?
here is another guy playing now in my native Turkey,
Ryan Toolson of UVU (hey? was not this UVSU before?)

He is playing good basketball in Turkey, where level of competition is really very high!

I wish more people understood how important this is ..

I have been unimpressed with how Scott Drew has used Miller, especially. I guarantee you that Miller would be thriving, in a much bigger way, in Calipari's system. There are dozens of examples .. another is CJ Leslie that plays for NC State. If he had chosen another school, he would be seen as a lottery player. As it is, he's viewed a 2nd rounder. No way he should ever be that low (he's quite similar to QMiller). This is one reason why scout after scout, year after year, say it's so much easier to scout UK players .. because Cal plays man-to-man, uptempo, and allows his guys the freedom to use their full skillset. Kids don't get yanked for missing a shot. Etc. He plays a more pro-style system.

On the other side, NC State, i.e., plays a sloooow it down, run the clock down, and try to just keep it close with a low scoring game .. and you have a chance to win. Unfortunately, too many teams have this philosophy and it makes games hard to watch and players harder to evaluate. The coaches say it's an emphasis on defense .. which is crap. All it is is a fear of getting blown out. UK pushes tempo AND holds its opponents to 38% FG shooting ..

Sorry for the tangent, but I'm very passionate about coaching/playing styles, systems, and kids getting relegated to a coaching mentality that can't adjust to the roster.

This is why I like Dave rose at byu they push the tempo

Michigan just escapes a major upset against Minnesota and will potentially take on Ohio State tomorrow.

Utah Jazz 2013 draft pick Trey Burke(freshman pg) had 30 points, 3 assists, 2 turnovers.

Might be time for a tournament thread eh PKM?

No way, we have to keep this thread going. 300 pages FTW.

Burke was big. Continues to impress. Continues on the upward progression. Looking fwd to watching him again next year, for sure.

15 minutes in, against Kansas, QMiller has 10pts on 2 FG attempts. Jones3 also has 10.

Perry Jones III seems to be getting his act together. Maybe it's just mental development. Will be interesting to see his tourney performance.

If Jones puts up good numbers in the tournament (instead of his normal inconsistent self) he could find himself in the top 5 or 6.

as where he should be .. I hate when players are playing themselves into a position they should already be in ..... while others are playing themselves beyond their obvious capability.

I recorded the Baylor Kansas game. I was liking Jackson as a second round PG, but what I saw tonight has turned me off. His court vision is below average and he seems to be a bit of a ball heavy guard.

Exactly. Jones vs Robinson is a perfect example of this.

Ok what do you want to bet on this? I'll take under on 18 you take the over

Here we go .. (and I should remind I like Jtaylor) ..

tonight, in the SEC tourney, he went 2/10, for 6pts. Not closing it out enough to move up .. PKM +1.
