What's new

NCAA Tournament 2012

BYU still standing. I don't know how, but they came back. Of course, it was only Iona. Still a win is a win in the post-Fredette era.

So which "mid-major" is going to win it at all? I think this will finally be the year that one of them does. Duke going down in round 1 never sucks.

I was gonna have K State beat 'Cuse in the second round before this news and now I certainly am. They can't rebound to save their life.

It appears I was right. K State has 8 offensive rebounds halfway through the first half. But they can't any of them back. ****ing pitiful.

damn it!!!

I had Kstate upsetting the Orange. I figured since Melo was out Kstate could score inside... They're getting good looks but just can't convert!

I always thought 'Cuse was a fairly lucky team to have the season they did, but I didn't have the balls to off them this early in my bracket.

I did after I heard about their Center not playing in the Tourney.
I got ripped off though because KState is sitting their top rebounder and 2nd leading scorer this game too now. What are the odds?
I got killed on Duke and Missouri, mostly Missouri. I thought they were going far this year.
My brackets are all jacked up. Kentucky and UNC better come through for me.

Not sure why so many people (a ton of experts) loved Missouri. Their defense absolutely sucks, they have little size, and no depth.

Michigan and Duke are the only two teams that I had going to the Sweet 16 that have been eliminated thus far.

Do you guys think Sullinger is just going to eat Sacre alive? Gonzaga by 30.

I did three pools, am screwed in one (had UConn in final four in one), but in one of the other two, have Gonzaga in the Final Four. Reading up on them, they're supposedly sort of flawless, just very young.

Don't think I have watched Sullinger all year, just hate Ohio State (because of Football). May tune in.

That would be interesting to see them in the Final Four. I wouldn't know what to think. I've seen them about 5 or 6 times this year because BYU is in their conference and they are overrated in my mind based on what I think a top level team should look like, but they may not in fact be overrated if you take college basketball as a whole into account. I don't know. I don't think they win by 30 + really or anything, they might be the ones that get drubbed themselves. I love the matchups in this game though. The Point guard battle should be great. The 4 and 5's battles should be great.

They sounded good on paper and I just sort of went with a hunch on the notion that no one really talks about them any more the way they once had. That's not to say they're any worse year to year. The Gonzaga Cinderella Story just lost its luster and Butler and VCU did a lot to help with that over the last couple years. So I said to myself, maybe they could, for the first time in a decade or so, sneak up on someone. They have a very good coach, very good personnel...

I must have got caught up in the hype machine. I didn't actually see them play, but only had stats to rely on.
I am surprised my ESPN bracket based on jersey color/style is not the points leader.
That's usually how people I know have won the last few years.
Maybe I was too serious about getting the jersey color bracket just right.
