2010 Draft in Perfect Hindsight.

Agree with everything Cy has said here. Cousins has a tremendous amount of potential, but he's shooting 43% and I just don't think he'll ever be as good as he should be. Very inefficient player.

I didn't take Cuz first, but ..........

Anyone that denies his ability to score and rebound is insane. Also, he hasn't scratched the surface .. he needs a great coach. Does that make him a head case? Fair game .. but he is going to be a damn load to deal with.

I have him at 3, so I obviously agree that he is a great talent. The thing that concerns me the most is his conditioning. Will he ever put the work in to get his body at 100%? His mental issues don't bother me because I think he will eventually "get it", but will he stop eating donuts every meal?

I think we all agree that he's a great talent, but so is John Wall. IMO, when you have two guys with great talent (I think Cousins has more potential than Wall btw) but one of them tends to have question marks with his attitude and the other doesn't, you take the one who doesn't have the question marks. Just my humble opinion though.

I really like Turner. He is a lot like Hayward, but not as good of shooter, but just better at everything else. Once Iggy leaves, I think he will flourish.

Why are you saying so many things lately that I agree with? I would appreciate it if you would stop that.

I think it is pretty safe to say that Derrick Favors isn't as good as Al Jefferson or Paul Millsap as of right now. I know this is only one game but the game we played against Sac DeMarcus Cousins outplayed both Al and Paul if I remember right. If we go on any other message board few people would leave DeMarcus anywhere but 1 or 2.

Jefferson doesn't play the greatest defense, so it's not like he had much resistance. Also, Favors is clearly not as advanced offensively as Couins, nor will be probably ever be. He is x10000 the defensive player, and his offense will eventually become good (and probably more consistent than Cousins's offense).

I still choose Hayward over George all day, every day. Yeah he rebounds more, and steals more. But the fact that hayward is slightly beating him on FG% even though George is shooting 12% higher than him from 3, is nothing short of amazing. Not to mention Hayward's assisting/playmaking ability. I really think that Hayward will have the better career, but I can't exactly say why. Just a hunch.

I can see Favors eventually averaging around the same ppg as Cousins, but with better FG%.

For the record, I really like Cousins. Not sure who I would pick between him and Favors going forward.

Favors shouldn't be number 1 just yet.
I really really like Paul George...he's like a 6'10'' SF that shoots amazing. That's center hieght on a SF.

I'm afraid if you asked a bunch of non-Utah, non-Sacramento fans which guy they'd take, about all of them would take Cousins.

it's cool but what for..

MONROE
FAVORS
COUSINS
WALL
GEORGE
UDOH

hayward has not impressed me much so far

What has Udoh done that is impressive? Not to mention he is 24, pushing 25 in a couple of months. Basically the Wes Johnson of big men of that draft class, but slightly less ****ty.

What is it about Cousins 43% field goal percentage, lack of defense, and lack of conditioning that makes him a #1 pick?

This. His potential is great but it's been the same old stories for years both here, at UK, and in high school. He may get it but it'll be too late, and I wouldn't want to be along for that trainwreck of a career.

And FTR, I absolutely love the kid. I feel like I could reach a mother****er like that if I were a coach. But I'm dumb either. He's a waste of talent.

I think people put a lot of stock in numbers, not necessarily efficiency if they are so high on Cousins. He puts up numbers, but he plays a lot of minutes and take a lot of shots. Wasn't there plenty of talk lately ripping on Jefferson because he is a big man and shooting under 50%. Cousins is well below 50%. I can see the argument that he would do better with a better team, and with a better coach, but any player would do better in that situation. The argument for him being number one in his class can be made that he is better than the other players, but that's debatable. I'm of the camp that thinks he will be someone that gets numbers but is not efficient, and therefore will always be on a losing team if he stays this way. I haven't watched him a whole lot, but the comparison to Jefferson could fit, except he shoots a lower percentage. I wonder what Jefferson's stats were in his second year, I may just look it up.

I'd take Landry Fields ahead of Johnson and Aminu. What completely piece of **** draft class after the first eight. Worst overall draft class in, perhaps, last 30 years.

I'm not sure how you can declare "perfect hindsight" midway through the 2012 season. It's more like the 2010 draft - "a year and a half later." Wall is still the consensus #1 imo - but we still have no idea the caliber of player Favors is going to become, or several of the other bigs selected in the 1st-round.
