Following potential 2012 draftees

Ford really thinks we want Lillard. Taking him over Sullinger, Lamb, Miller, Jones....a bit of a reach. Might take the BPA and hope Lillard is still on the table for our second pick, if not, take Marshall.

Agree. I also believe most (vast majority) NBA teams have Marshall above Lillard on their boards.

Chad Ford is just trying to look smart and picking a sleeper right now. He did the same thing with Jimmer last year.

Don't take a PG with the first lottery pick.
Maybe not even with the second lottery pick. But certainly not the first one.

One last comment. Ford also has Drummond going to the Kings. In theory that teams would be the team of the future with the guys that they have. Think about it Evans, Cousins, Drummond and even Jimmer. The problem is that they struggle to play as a team. As of right now that team is the biggest waste of talent in the NBA, and it is not even close.

Umm, hate to say it here, but Jimmer is looking like a bust. He can't guard anyone, and he can't shake free to get shots off even with a pick. It's hard for him to get minutes. He needs to play off a great player like Steve Kerr did with Michael Jordan.

Right now if we have 2 picks come next draft this is where I am sitting 1st pick take BPA no if and or buts about it. Now if the jazz feel lillard is that pick I will understand. If we end up with a big then we trade to fill a need ie pj3

Then with the 2nd pick draft on need. If the need is still pg and sf after the 1st pick then draft BPA at sf or pg. lillard vs Marshall will be fun to watch.

I think I would still take Terrence Jones over Perry Jones.....like last year. I'd also take Q. Miller over Perry Jones, easily.

I think most non-BYU fans saw that coming from a mile. Having said that, I agree that he could thrive in certain situations with the right team.

I think TJones has more fire and is more aggressive (he's undervalued on this board, generally). PJones3 has more upside, but as we've discussed for two years now, lacks heart. I have major issues with all three of these guys and would be hard-pressed to name which order I'd take them in.

I have been far more impressed with Aaron Craft. Smart, smart player with good enough athletic ability. Great on the ball defender- good enough jumper and a very good passer. Not a star player but a very, very good role player.

DeShaun Thomas y'all. I wants him.

DeShaun was the next coming when he was a sophomore in HS. Many called him the best player in the nation, regardless of class. Obviously, he didn't reach those levels of expectations, but he's clearly a big talent. I'm definitely mixed on how I feel he'll do in the NBA .. but he'll have a career, for sure.

Awesome college player. He'll struggle with the length and speed of the NBA, but agree he'll be a decent/solid backup.

Next Kirk Hinrich? And yes, I'm saying that because he is a white PG who is known for defense.

That is my point. Evans has the ability to play at a very high level. What he is missing is the smarts to do it. He is a selfish player. If he wasn't, then Jimmer would get easier looks and so would everyone else on the team. Jimmer could thrive on that team but as of right now that teams plays as individuals.

I think he is more of a jump shot away from being elite than he is selfishness.

Kirck Hinrich has far more offensive ability than Craft ever will.

Have you even seen an Ohio State game before? Tell me why you would want DeShaun, because he can score? I would never take Deshaun as the player he is now. He plays horrid defense, late on switches and does not box out. Yes, he can score on anybody but HATES to pass the ball.

Craft has great potential to be an offensive factor. He is 2 years away before he should come out. He needs to spend the next couple summers just shooting in the gym.
