i take it your a Giants fan? As a 49er fan, I wondered the same thing, also it seems he has maturity issues as well, am I right on that?

With all that said he is still probably the best wr we've signed in a while. Honestly the hers haven't had a decent wr since T.O.

I don't think he has maturity issues, I just think he's a slightly better than average WR. I don't think he's any better than Crabtree or Braylon Edwards.

Well looks like Smith's visit to Seattle has just been cancelled. Seattle has agreed to terms with Matt Flynn on a 3 year deal.

You need a backup with a skill set comparable to the starter. That way if the starter is injured you can run the same offense that your team has been practicing. Tebow and Manning are about as opposite as you can get.

In a small way, I feel that too... but as a Niners fan, I feel like Smith is their best option right now. He grew a lot last season. And I'm with Katie - I don't want CK starting on opening day.

David Garrard is going to Miami. Guess that means Alex Smith is out of the picture there. He will be back with San Francisco. I don't see anyone else who would want him at this point.
