What's new

Corbin's perception is different than yours

You think we're missing out on developing these guys because we might have a potential superstar on our hands. I think we have a pretty good idea of what these players can be, and are developing them appropriately.

What point do you think I missed?

That Corbin has ruined these players development for life because he didn't give them heavy minutes the first 40 games of their careers. Duh.

Larry Miller took a two by four to Sloan and made him start DWill over Milt-effing-Palacio. That was the extreme case of handling things exactly the wrong way. That was more of a frat boy hazing by Sloan than it was intelligent coaching.

I remember hearing a quote from Deron saying he would always be upset at being benched, but as he reflected on it he said it made him a better player and made him dedicate himself more to the game.

Exactly. I feel like it is always a good thing for an athlete to have a chip on their shoulder. Giving a lottery pick a first class ticket to starting isn't going to help that develop.

It can go either way. The trick is actually rewarding them with minutes when they play well, not just saying you get 15/gm.

Damn, Corbin blows. If anyone else was coaching we would have beat OKC by 20. Jeesus, let's hire Stan Van Gundy PRONTO!!!
