Interesting. I still find it hard to believe that someone who has 100 lb weight advantage thinks his life is in that much danger that he has to shoot someone. Just flip him around, it shouldn't be that hard unless Travyon is some kind of Bruce Lee prodigy. Also, just because the neighbor saw the fight at the point Zimmerman was on the ground, doesn't mean Trayvon started the fight. Zimmerman could have very well started it, but just ended up losing.

Still says nothing about who started the fight. The only "witness" who has come forward in that regard is Martin's GF, who claims Martin was trying to get away when he was confronted by Zimmerman. Now, she was his girlfriend, and this was only a phone conversation, but all the events leading up to that point (that is, the 911 calls) support her story. If Zimmerman confronted Martin after following him, what was Martin to think?

As others have said, Zimmerman being let off sets a terrible precedent. If someone chases you down, and confronts you, you have absolutely no recourse. If you fight them, and they then shoot you dead, it's your fault. If I had someone to kill in Florida, it would be pretty ****ing easy now.

If you do kill someone in FL just make sure they aren't black. After this you will get lynched regardless of circumstances.

Because you are an African-American male, they told him, some people will make judgments about you and view you with suspicion based solely on your race.

Recently, as Jeremy, 16, was preparing to get his driver's license, his father told him what to do if he were ever stopped by police: Keep your hands visible on the steering wheel at all times.

And when he asked to take part in Assassins, a popular suburban game in which teens stalk each other with airsoft guns, his parents' answer was an unequivocal no, lest someone mistake the toy that fires plastic pellets for a real weapon.

The story of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin's death in Sanford, Fla., a suburb of Orlando, has struck a particularly sensitive chord with African-American parents such as the Millers, many of whom said they live with a nagging fear that their teenage boys could be harassed or attacked.

"We live in a fairly affluent interracial neighborhood with fantastic people who don't see color, but I know there are people out there who do," said Paul Miller. "I constantly tell him, 'Don't forget you're black.' I don't want him to run into that guy who does see color one day when he's walking down the street."

..."The reality is that many Americans ... perceive young black men to be 'suspicious' individuals who will rob them, confront them and carry a firearm to threaten their safety, independent of whether it is true or not," said Cohen.

"Young black men go through the world being harassed, watched and stereotyped. They live with that every day, and far too many of us have ignored their reality," she said.

Marguerite Alston, of Chicago Heights, said she rarely allows her 16-year-old son, Michael, to walk home from school, but when he does, she insists that he goes with a group.

"At least there is another set of eyes if there's a problem," she said. "Someone can go and get help."

Sometimes, however, she worries when her son asks to go to a mall with a group of African-American boys, fearing that they could be accused of making trouble even if they are not.

"I know they are good kids, but it's like a red flag goes up in people's mind when they see a group of black boys," said Alston....

Kids in my neighboorhood play "Assassins" (had no idea it was called that). It's ****ing creepy. They all have airsoft AK's and they looking extremely real. Luckily the main group of kids who did it moved out not too long ago and no one does it anymore.
 
Zimmerman needs to leave the state, change his name, lay low, etc.
He's the one that's no longer safe anymore.
He's not even safe in prison.
What an idiot.

Wow, I can't believe people still think like that in 2012! I mean, young black males are the least likely to commit rape, murder, robbery, or violent crimes than any other race-COMBINED! Most of them have wonderful father's who have taught them better than that. :)



Honestly, some of you people, your white guilt is going to get you assaulted, murdered, raped, or robbed. You've been warned.

I agree with Scat on This one. This case sets a precendent in FL,, if you kill a black man, you will get lynched regardless. Even though in this case, Zimmerman has most of the evidence against him, it still sets a precedent..So Scat raises a good point.

Do you guys remember that one case where a black guy assaulted a white guy? I can't remember the details, but why aren't people talking about that?? I liked the article Scat linked to too. Both Scat and I are just done with this case, we prefer to talk about cases where the white person is the victim, even if it's not as interesting or relevant. I don't know, talking about black people being victims is just uncomfortable. :D :D

I'm just still so intrigued that there are people who's dog in this fight is the guy that shot and killed an unarmed kid. Blown away might be the better way to put it.

I honestly don't think he's a troll. He may a troll as far as having another handle, but his knowledge of white supremacist culture is way too deep to be insincere. I used to troll such websites myself, before they made it much more difficult for non-members to participate (due to increased police scrutiny).

I was always taught that you are innocent until proven guilty by a jury of your peers. 99% of Zimmerman's peers here would have already strung him up...
 
hmmm, and as more details come to light....turns out the unarmed kid was assaulting Zimmerman, bashing his head into the concrete.
The media keeps showing pictures of the kid that are from 5 years ago.
And the mother is now trademarking his name. Interesting...
The kid has a history of assault, and was suspended from school for drugs.


And what is it with Pres Obama saying "If I had a son, it would look like Tray"
Is he saying that they all look alike? Huh?
