Is Hayward God?

I wonder if the jazz would have the balls to scrap the pg position from the starting lineup all together, draft Beal, and start beal Hayward, and Burks all together. I'm starting to really like this idea more and more.

He needs to gain consistency.
If he pulls a mini CJ and disappears for games, I will hate it.

Even in his bad games he shows up making other players better, and playing good solid defense. I think his disappearing act on offense is that the jazz don't use him correctly. Haward isn't a spot up guy he's a slasher/playmaker. The jazz need to run pick'n roll every time on offense with Hayward only problem is Al might be the worst pick'n roll big of all time, and Millsap is decent, but sets the worst pick at all time. Half the time he doesn't even mak contact with the the player. Hell we have a guy on the coaching staff that used to set some of the meanest picks along with Stockton. I can't wait till Favors is put in the starting lineup, when that happens Hayward will be more consistent on offense. Both Al and Millsap are better playing off each other and as one one one players in iso.

This thread needs a ****ing gif, ASAP

Only 21 and balling out like that, think of what he'll be doing when he's 26. I'm saying it now neg rep me all you want. Hayward will be the best player on the team. If the jazz ever play him correctly he will be our best player and the guy the jazz rely on.

6 months ago I would have agreed 100% but now that I have seen burks play, I think it will be a close race.

I see Hayward as the guy that ties it all together. Burks will be a scoring machine. Favors and Kanter will step up the paint presence and rebounding. Hayward is the guy that will make everything flow and work together. Not the focal point but the guy that makes it click.

I think there is an assumption around here that an efficient 15/5/5 isn't a big deal. Do some research.

Hayward doesn't have to score more to be the best player. To me the definition of best player on the team is the guy that does the most to help the team win. The jazz will rely on Hayward to get easy buckets for guys like Kanter, Favors, and even Burks. Hayward might be the best defender he is starting to rebound our best playmaker, steals, blocking shots he does it all. Hayward needs to be the primary player with the ball in hand he is the guy with the most potential to make things happen on offense. In my eyes he has the most upside of anyone on the team. I just feel guys like Favors will reach their full potential because of Hayward.

Who is this for?

@Theejazzfan - I agree. That was the point of my post. He will not be the #1 option but he will control the flow and pace of the team.

What I'm saying is he will be the focal point. I can see Hayward being the focal point of other team's trying to devise a plan to slow down Hayward from doing what he does. Their thinking would be stop Hayward and you take away the effectiveness of the other players.

That's what I was trying to point out, is that he will be the focal point if they play him right.

Forgive him, Gordon, he knows not what he says. (and he's a dumb **** Ute fan, duh)

If the best we can do with God on our team is struggle to lock down the 8th seed and play abysmally on the road, well, maybe it's time I look at becoming an atheist.

****, braugh, you're totally right... Hay has peaked and will never do more for the team than he is currently. I think we should trade him for a second-round pick while he still has some value.

It was a general statement. I think there is a general feeling that 15/5/5 aren't as amazing as they are. They are rare.

Oh ok. Reason I ask is that i projected Hayward to be 15/5/5. I agree.

Or he's just a decent player and nothing more. I know, that doesn't quite fit into the hyperbole-rich JF, but...

Every team does this. Whenever their players get dominated on blocks, they complain about the smallest body contact. I've seen Jazz fans on here do it on blocks against Jazz players.
