Is Corbin in over his head?

The Norm

Playing Watson to the end after he bitches to the media. This in the latest of boneheaded moves from our dimwitted coach. I don't think he has the balls to be an NBA coach

I do not think so. He has them battling for the playoffs when they were considered garbage by all the experts. He makes some decisions i do not get at all but I think he will be a great coach.

a different coach would have 7-10 more wins with this team
on the other hand another coach might have won 10 games less.

I have been saying this all season. The Jazz are not above .500 because of Corbin, but in spite of him. He is absolutely horrid. Substitution patterns, adjustments based on what the other team is doing, drawing up plays, you name it.

This team would be 10 games over .500 if it had a decent coach.

Corbin is basically a "rookie" I wont argue the fact that he has made soem really stupid decisions. But long term I think he will get it all down and be a good coach.

I agree with this more or less, but he is infuriating with his decisions sometimes. I'm just baffled why he has decided to play Watson so much. He bitches and gets minutes. It's an absolute mystery why, with his actions, Corbin was saying that Watson was the best PG on the Jazz bench tonight.

He has a lot to learn that is for sure.

Playing Watson over Harris also made no sense considering we were up against a zone.

How does a professional basketball coach not see simple things like this?

Enough of this. Rookie? Plenty of 1st and 2 nd year coaches have done much more with less or the same

This forum goes silly when the Jazz lose. I mean, absolutely bonkers.

Yeah dog. How dare fans question Cobin's decision to give Tinsley DNPs and play Earl Watson so much!

Kinda like how Burks has sucked. Good thing Burks received so many DNPs at the start of the year, cuz Raja sure was killin the league.

Corbin should never be questioned. He has never made a mistake.... Ever.

Does your Respirator ever get in the way of your keyboard?

I think he, like others, just gets annoyed when somebody comes in with a smartass comment that doesn't actually contribute anything to the discussion.

Oh good point, Norm. This is such a thoughtful and important discussion we are having here. What a shame it would be for someone to disrupt this thread.

Nothing should get in the way of their ability to hate. Nothing.

I detest the incessant whining on this board - I rarely come here after losses because people drone on about the same old ****.

But when a team is coming off 8 wins in a row at home and the coach decides to change the formula just to assuage a veteran - that's a bad decision. Actually it's worse than a bad decision - that's weakness. And when that bad decision/weakness leads to a loss against a below average team at home, that a frickin' meltdown.

Earl Watson is a decent NBA PG. At times he's good; but essentially he's stictly back-up talent. Always has and always will be. But right now there TWO other PG's on this team that are playing better than him. If any one can give me a reason why he was finishing last night's game other than the fact that he bitched to the media I'd love to hear it.

I didn't see the end of the game. Had a bad personal call. Are you guys saying Harris wasn't hurt? It would be very out of form for Corbin to close the game without him. I thought he was fired from Jazzfanz 3 months ago for rigid substitutions.
