"I probably would have stayed".........

Poor Nets. Dude sounds like he's already a Maverick.

Deron Williams is ready for free agency, but he hasn't ruled out remaining with the Nets.

“People get traded all the time,” Williams told Yahoo! Sports. “They don’t get backlash as an organization. If [players] leave, we are not loyal, we are ungrateful. People say stuff to me on Twitter. They already think I’m gone. They are out there bashing me, saying to me I’m a traitor.

“I didn’t ask to be here. I got traded. I didn’t come here being a free agent. This is the first time that I’m a free agent in my career.”

Williams says he "probably" would have re-signed with the Nets if they had acquired Dwight Howard.

“It’s a decision he made for himself,” Williams said. “I really have no comment on it. He did what was best for him. I respect that. I’m still friends with him.

“Oh yeah, it definitely would have changed things. I’ve already made it known that if he would have come I probably would have stayed.”

The Nets have given Williams significant influence over the roster.

“He’s been involved in the process since December,” Billy King said. “We talked about, ‘This is Plan A and this is Plan B and C.’

“In training camp he was in my office after practice every day just sitting there. He calls himself, ‘the assistant GM.’ “

So if Deron leaves will that trade go down as one of the biggest rapings ever? I have to give KOC credit, I'm so glad were not in the Nets position. Ive never been more excited about a current Jazz team or their future.

Thank you KOC, for saving this Jazz fan from that spectacle.

I thought he was talking about staying with the Jazz. I don't give two ****s about the article you posted.

Thank you KOC, for saving this Jazz fan from that spectacle.

I think Williams understood KOC was doing the best job he could with what he had, and the market he was in. The Nets are just trying to please him, plus they are the Nets, Dwill may very well be just as good GM as their GM is.

Dang, cause I made the thread specifically for you and nobody else.........

Oh shoot! Next time use a less misleading gosh darn title so I wouldn't waste my freaking time reading non-Jazz related musings of a player.

If DWill realizes that the grass isn't always greener after being banished to NJ/Bklyn & just wants to win rings, I think we have a better chance to S&T DWill than him re-signing there!

Hypothetical ~~ I don't care about being "the Big Man" in Bklyn because we're still gonna suck & can't beat out the Knicks for fans or if playing back in his homestate w/ an aging Dirk isn't intriguing ~~

Trading Harris & Millsap for DWill would make KOC "the greatest GM that's walking today".
Avery Johnson can compete w/ Harris - Brooks - Wallace (extends) - Millsap - Lopez
Tyron Corbin can certainly win the championship w/ DWill - Burks - Hayward - Favors - Jefferson

however, i don't EVER see this happen

That trade is looking worse everyday for the nets. I think this whole process has humbled d will quite a big. I'm not so sure he ends up in Dallas, they will be a middle of the pack team pretty soon.

Id love for him to stay in the east coast, in all honesty.

We already have a goddamn handful with Nash, Paul, Westbrook, Curry, and Parker.

I think DWill will be thinking long and hard about his move as a FA. I don't think Dallas is a forgone conclusion. I'd like to think he would consider Utah, but I have a hard time seeing it happen.

Dude is given such a bum rap. Don't we want honesty from our players? Isn't that all pretty ****ing logical? Let's not take words deliberately and completely out-of-context. Let's get real.

I think if the Jazz had proven within reason that he could win a championship - instead of take a pretty big step backward nearing the end of his contract - none of this would've been an issue. He gets thrown into the slag of tri-state basketball, and with all of the accompanying slag as a theme (franchise, organization, talent, culture, coaching, FANS). And he's supposed to just stay there with no hope in sight IN HIS PRIME?

But, the quote is out-of-context.

The Nets are insane. Adding a billionaire's pocket book wasn't what is saving this team, it's gas to the flames.

Ironically you are so upset about people talking about Deron because the whole deal bothered you the most. Awww you loved Deron.

Do us all a favor and go kill yourself.

People only get this mean when I offend their religion. I assume I offended your religion? :D

Either way, fishing for views through a misleading title is juvenile and annoying. Sorry you so strongly disagree.

I highly doubt that. I think I was perfectly fine with the deal. I can't remember my exact reaction, so I'm not 100% certain.

If I were the Knicks, I'd amnesty someone and make an offer to D.Will.

If I were the Lakers, I'd do the same.

If I were Orlando, I'd wish I could do that too.
