Following potential 2012 draftees

Burke's shooting percentages across the board would be my biggest worry.

Also 5' 11" with no hops. How does he finish?

The only thing I find intriguing about the guy from what little I've found is how young he is. His decision to turn pro doesn't sound like a terribly wise or mature thing to do given his season and his physical tools, and I personally put a premium on my PGs being wise/mature. It's kind of what the position is about.

Machado slipped down the board in DX's latest (very preliminary) mock. Interesting.

Machado, Crowder, and D.Miller are second-round gems. I'm sure the FO doesn't want three rookies next year, but I'd take any two of these guys and the highest BPA of the first round.

Marshall FTW?

It looks like Barnes' stock has fallen since the tourney (and rightfully so), so here's a question: if Barnes fell to us at #8, would you take him?

I would say a hell yes. As one sided as Barnes is he is just what we need. All his negatives are taken up in our other players. He is not a good rebounder but all our bigs are and or 2 are pretty good also. He his not a great passer but hayward and burks are.

I drool with the idea of Barnes coming off the curl to bury shot after shot.

Besides we need some one to replace cj!

My position is that if the Jazz get two picks, they should draft Marshall and a SF with scorer's potential. If the Jazz get one... then I think I lean Lillard.

Getting to the question, based on hype alone, you probably do. I'm not in love with Barnes and he's shown how important it is for him to get his shots in his spots, and that could be a nice fit here. PG play would be important, though.

I believe he was late lottery in this draft. Probably a good decision to go back and come out next year, likely top 5 or 6.

Won't argue going back being a good decision. I think he might just have bumped Barnes down a spot. Mcadoo is the potential pick and has height they usually go higher then expected.

I really like McAdoo, but he seems to play a bit small for his PF position. Just an eyeball/gut thing, though.

Agree 100%.

Completely agree. Staying was the right decision for him, both for his growth, and draft stock.

Unless he gets injured. I never want to see anyone get hurt but I would hate to see his stock drop because he went back to school and ended up getting hurt.

It's so incredibly rare for players to have career-altering injuries .. and insurance can be gotten .. and the universities are able to lend the money for the premium.

I've been watching this kid since 8th grade .. but for those that want to know the 'NEXT' .. Andrew Wiggins, 6'7 SG (16 year old HS sophomore). Going to be the youngest player to ever play in the Nike Hoops Summit in a couple days. Scouts are saying he's the best player on the floor (and two years younger than Shabazz).

16 years old.

Wiggins is an insane athlete but I already hate how full of himself he is. He needs to take summer classes at the Harrison Barnes School of Branding.

Yep, it's way tough for these kids that get 'discovered' at such a young age. O.J. Mayo, Renardo Sidney .. these are a couple of kids that I think would have been better if not being guaranteed, by their entourage, to be awesome.
