Let it be known I started one of the all-time great threads.
 
This is a movie that I plan on seeing. Not opening night but while it is still in theaters.
 
I'll see both opening night just like I did with each LOTR movie. That was the last time I've shown up 30+ minutes early to a theater. These movies just do it for me.

Same here, the LOTR movies will always be a special thing for me.
 
This is going to be awesome. It's a theater movie for me too. I remember when the LOTR films were coming out I couldn't wait for the next one and was actually pissed that I had to- that's how good they were. Of course I felt like that during the more recent Star Wars trilogy also.

I find myself wondering how you would react if they made a Back to the Future part 4.
 
Fellowship of the Ring was by far my best theatre experience ever. Not necessarily my favorite movie ever... but best theatre experience ever, no question. Partly, I think, because I had no real expectations for the first one, so I was all the more unprepared for how good it actually was. And that Balrog fight... I still think that Balrog is the coolest monster in the history of movies, period. I'm not sure it will ever be topped.

BTW, have you guys seen the production diary videos? They're really cool, on a par with the great behind-the-scenes features on the extended edition LotR DVDs. I'll embed them all here for people who haven't seen them yet.
