What's new

Only 11 more games in the CJ Miles experiment

ok, but if you go look at truehoop's recent posts about clutch stats, you'll see that just about EVERYBODY's effectiveness goes down in that situation.

that said, i still think we're picking the wrong game to get on CJ's case. if it weren't for CJ, we would have lost by 15 last night.

I think not. If God had played all of Chucker's minutes we would've won by 40.

37 Minutes of the clown and bad things will always happen. I hope they can Corbin. A good coach would have figured this out by now. I remind you of what happened to the Jazz at the end of the season last year when they started the clown. The Jazz deserve what they get for going cheap with players and coach.

I will mark the day that he leaves as National GO THE **** AWAY DAY!! Then i will drink beer all day and if anyone bothers me I will yell loudly.

all other inbound options were well defended, and we didn't have another timeout to call, so the ball pretty much had to go to CJ or we were going to have a 5-sec violation.

In other words The Jazz did exactly what Phoenix wanted them to do.

Even with the "gaudy" numbers you mentioned there were still several instances in the game where it was readily obvious that Phoenix was daring Miles to shoot.

CJ Miles is the joke that every team in the NBA is in on with the exception of The Utah Jazz.

Feel free to use that as a signature.

well, sure, but what other option did we have at that point? turn the ball over? commit a 5-second violation? we had no options and no timeouts, so the ball went to a guy who was 9-for-17 (53%) at that point.

two different times, the suns opened up a double-digit lead on our guys and it was CJ who got us back in it. i'm more than happy ending the CJ era, but let's put the responsibility for this one where it belongs. sorry, but that's not CJ this time.

I do blame CJ the Clown for missing the clutch shot but I knew he would take the shot and I knew he would miss. Any coach that thinks the clown can make a clutch shot at the end of the game is not coaching, he's hoping for a miracle. But what is far worse than his 15% or whatever 3 point shooting is his defense. And he is a master at making the wrong plays. He has my vote for the worst Jazz shooting guard ever because he has done so much damage. And Corbin has been starting the Clown pretty much ever since he became the head coach. They should hold hands and walk away together and declare it a Utah holiday.

I am so gonna laugh when the Jazz re-sign CJ for 3 more years.

It will be an epic day on this site.

FWIW. I am more than ready to be done with CJ. But for the shear fun factor I almost hope he is re-signed. Almost.

You were a great poster (all 4 times) before dragging Corbin into it. Stick with CJ and keep pissing JJontheRag off.

It is sigature worthy.

Good point! Corbin deserves his own experiment thread. There's enough to say about Clank the Clown without including Corbin here. I just hope beyond hope that the Clown gets another shot at winning the game with a three. It's one of the funniest things in all of pro sports right now.

With the game on the line and the Jazz down by 2 points, their secret sharp shooting weapon, Clank the Clown manages to hog the ball! He's well defended, but that means nothing to the Clown. He will win this game and laugh at the Suns. He flings his famous fade away 3 point shot as time runs out. He fades back with arms fully extended; fading, fading, he is now at mid court. The Clown has never been more excited. Next to W.C. Fields, the Clown is the greatest ever! The crowd holds its breath. Finally after years, the Clown has come through for the Jazz. Corbin, his coach, proudly pounds his chest. Many of the fans are swearing and shaking their hands. But why? The Clown has saved the day! What is their problem? The ball approaches the rim and the Clown waits for the sensuous sound of the swish. He knows he has made the shot. "CLANK!" No chance for a rebound. The crowd goes crazy and the Clown runs for safety with JJ Rage in hot pursuit. "I hate you Clown!", the Rage yells.

Add me to that boycott. That would be the ultimate insult to the fans.

You're not going to believe this, but I just heard from Randy Rigby (my uncle) that they are going to sign Chucker to a 5 year deal this summer. I just thought it would be nice of me to let you know a little bit early so you can get your "boycott" on. No sense in wasting time on these insultuous pigs! (yes, I just made up "insultuous")

Take care, mountain, it was good to know you!

Jazz win again without CJ the Clown. This is a disaster! What about the draft pick? I'm sure the clank will be back soon to stop any winning streak. He's good at what he does, loose.
