Most would take Beal. More complete player.
That's why this isn't an exact science. It's also a "gamble" to make the safe pick as a GM, letting someone else take the talented kid that has question marks.
Hey, I'm still saying if there was a gun to my head I wouldn't know who to pick between PJ and TJ. I'm taking either over Miller though, all day.
That depends on what criteria you are using. If you are using college performance he is a gamble. If you are using physique and athletic measurements, he is the sure thing.
Both ways have been equally unreliable.
I am praying everyday that we get these picks.
How about we luck out and take Rivers at 13 and we move from 8 to 3 and select Kidd-Ghilchrist.
And Rivers goes on to be the next Deron Williams without the attitude.
Sometimes I wonder if I actually like the draft better than the games. This has been fun the last few years picking high. It's addicting.
You really can't judge Perry Jones' college performance very well....I think Baylor had a pretty selfish PG.
With this draft, I don't think we should "play it safe." We have solid players at every position, and this is our last best chance to swing for a top-drawer talent.
True, and not to be a contrarian, but those two BOTH had this rep coming into college. I know that QMiller made a couple 'demands' of Calipari if he were to sign with UK .. and Cal told him to F off, basically. I can give a lot more detail, if needed, but it's not all on Drew (coach of Baylor).
Details are needed please.
Here are a few;
- QMiller told Cal he wanted to be the man (Cal said, then be it .. but 'the man' is earned .. this rubbed the coaching staff the wrong way)
- Cal went to an in-home and a game in a 1 week period .. after which he called the recruiting of Miller 'off.' When asked why .. Cal said, "We don't need any selfish MF's on this team."
- Miller tweeted Cal telling him he wanted to be re-recruited and wanted to attend Big Blue Madness (first practice of the year). Cal said no .. that Miller was not invited .. citing again that he didn't want "lazy, self-entitled, selfish guys" on this team.
But I've liked Millsap at the 3 the few times he's played there. He even said he could see the floor better without having to be in there with all those bigs. And for all the negatives these guys have at the 3 there are also some nice positives. Done.
You're welcome, churchy.
T-Jones is more athletic than we give him credit for.
And I think he's more capable of playing SF in the NBA than the likes of Derrick Williams and Millsap.
