Following potential 2012 draftees

Is this bad or good in your opinion? I personally see him being nothing like Crawford. I like him in a three gurard rotation. I would snag him and lillard, maybe Marshall, and call it a draft. Burks, Lillard and Rivers would be an awesome rotation.

It is what it is. Streak shooter who can light it up, or be cold. Not an elite athlete, but a good athlete with excellent ball control and dribbling. He seems almost like a carbon copy of Crawford to me. He does that size-up dribble, pull up 3 pointer move a lot, just like Crawford loves to do.

Crawford played for crappy teams most of his career and never really adapted his style to winning until he started coming off the bench for the good Atlanta teams. I could see the same thing happening to Rivers if he ends up in a bad situation, or he could be a pretty good SG if he figures everything out and doesn't try to be a star.

Main difference is that Crawford doesn't have a weird release and can hit FT's.

Lamb does not have elite athleticism, though maybe slightly above average. He shot an unimpressive 33% from behind the arc, though did shoot very well inside the arc. He ranks near last of SG's in assists per possession (18th of the top 21). He was a winner when Kemba was on the team. This year, he and Andre Drummond nearly missed the NCAA tourney (should have) and got ousted early by Royce White and Iowa State. I'm not big on Jlamb.

Yeah, that is the biggest negative for Lamb to me. The lack of being able to really carry Uconn to a respectable record.

Lamb has a lot of natural ability and decent quickness. I think there's an issue with attitude and iq. I could see him being a player like Monta Ellis, a streaky, but decent scorer who takes plays off.

I don't hate the guy, just don't see any point of taking him. There are more interesting prospects on the board when/if we draft at 13/14.

'Bazz to UCLA, Noel to UK.

Glad 'Bazz didn't choose UK. Sorry, but it is lame if all the top 10 recruits go to the same school.

I think I was the only one here who called it. People said there was no way he would want to play somewhere with a slow, "grind it out" offense.

Kudos. Didn't see Adidas lurking. There is A LOT to this 'story.' No sour grapes though (at all). UK won the Nat'l title, has the #1 recruiting class, 4 years in a row, is not done recruiting, and one or two MAY come back. Life is good. Now .. HOW IN THE HELL is the Jazz gonna get a PICK!!!1!

I disagree. I kid. Wish 'Bazz would have gone to UNLV though.

It was in the cards. His sister is sponsored by addidas. Received a crazy deal. Ucla is sponsored by addidas which ties this all together. I think he will be stunted by howland. I would have loved unlv to sign him, but if not here then to ky. I want to see the local kid soar.

I hate he's playing for Howland. Terrible. I hate, almost as much, that an NCAA investigation is underway ... details to follow (but it is in play, for sure).

Why doesn't this thread have a sticky? He seems to be doing quite better than all the others.

If lottery standings get one then why not this?

All I see is "wah wah, he didn't go to my school there must be bribes and money"

I get the impression that this is going n a little bit. Who can blame him? Nobody that actually cares about college bball wants to see 'Bazz int eh UCLA system. It is the same thing as QMiller in Baylors system. Both players are not fit in that system and it could ultimately hurt where these players get drafted.

It's their choice. They made it. They are grown ups.
