Do me a Favors!

Offensively, Favors&Big Al>Favors&Millsap

Defensively, Favors&Millsap=Favors&Big Al (Big Al sucks defensively, Millsap is undersized)

I wouldnt mind having Favors&Big Al duo.Either way Favors will be the main defensive presence and Kanter wouldnt be a bad backup untill he becomes ready to start.Plus Millsap looks more tradeble I guess.

I expect Favors and Kanter to start in the future. We could keep Millsap on as the back up big, but I can't see Al coming off the bench.

Also, it always seems like it's difficult for Favors to get looks when he's playing along side Al, so I think putting him next to Millsap would be better for his development.

Paul is much more versatile and he can probably be integrated into whatever future plans much easier than Al. Quite simply, we don't know what would happen if we told Al that he was now the third option and we won't be running ISOs for him. I'm not worried about Paul in that sense.

Doesn't really matter anyways. No one is getting traded. So we will see a repeat of this year. Favors is going to ride the pine again. Cue the price is right fail music.

Kanter and Favors are likely both going to demand more minutes next season, but the Millsap at 3 experiment seems to be working just fine. He's a terrific cutter and passer from the wing, and doesn't seem to struggle too much defensively (especially since Favors is back there). If Millsap can play 20+ effective minutes at the 3, this is a problem that can be put off until at least the trade deadline next year. It's entirely possible the Jazz can afford to keep everyone, AND have enough minutes to go around.

I honestly can't see why anyone would prefer Al to Millsap. Millsap is a great team player, much more versatile. Al would never be willing to come off of the bench, and when he is on the floor the offense has to run through him in order for him to be at all effective.

I would prefer Al, Favors, and Millsap all starting.... and Kanter riding the pine until he quits bringing the ball down to the floor after rebounds.
I said this at the beginning of the year.
This is the ideal line-up.
There's hardly any small forwards out there that can match Millsap's versatility, and combination of quickness, strength, and his mid-range jumper.

it's hard for anybody to get looks when they're playing alongside big al.

Yeah but on the flip side there are some SF that Millsap can't gaurd too. Guys like Granger, James, and Anthony, etc

Favors and Milsap by a mile. I think with Milsap, you get more spacing, better passing, and more offensive flow to the game. Defensively, Paul is undersized, but he makes up for it with his good hands.
With Milsap I see Favors being involved more and with Al, I just see post ups and bad defensive rotations.
I also like the idea of Paul being ok with coming off the bench and being a 3 man

Edit: Milsap's BBIQ >>>>>>>>>>> Big Al's BBIQ

big al' has no defense, well except for some possesions during the game. but mostly he doesnt even try.
atleast millsap tries and bsuts his gut.

also big al offense is overated. he has to take way too many shots for his points.
jazz do just fine without his offense

I want to see what a lineup of Favors, Kanter and Millsap can do. I think Millsap can be a great SF. Far better than most expect. He can shot, he can pass, and he can keep up with most 3s. Even if he proves to be a defensive liability against faster 3s, that weakness would be easily offset by the presence of the bigs inside. Al simply does not fit with any future plans, unless your ambition is to keep running the offense through him while everyone watches till they leave or lose interest.
