What's new

Game Thread: Utah Jazz @ NO Hornets. 6pm MST.

Interesting you choose Favors. Not that I disagree, but he did more than a few others.

Picked on him because two plays down the stretch. Hayward jump ball, Favors gets the tap behind the defense under the basket and rather than dunking he turns left. Jazz turnover. He didn't know time, place.

Later, the ball is shot, (maybe passed inside and tipped) any way he chases the ball down and half tips half passes a loopy pass out front to no-one in particular. Ball goes into the backcourt as harris and Hayward chase it. Jazz Turnover.

Physically he is superior to most everyone on the court. Mentally he was D-League.

Favors needs to get his head in the game.

Somedays I hate the flex offense. Lots of movement and passing and no scoring. I'd love to see a Hayward & Favors PnR.

Favors? What in the world are you talking about. Sure he makes some mistakes as any 20 year old may, but he tries on every possession and makes a difference 90 percent of the time.

I hear ya .. but he should not have been in that position .. based on what he had done vs. the of others .. at least, imo.

Come on dude, what about the thirteen times he chased down a rebound? You are nit picking. He will make mistakes, but let's talk about Jefferson shooting 20 footers multiple times down the strecch. Shooting......actually more like chucking.

The Jazz don't really have an alpha dog right now. They're all good-natured team players, but someone has to step up and make the big plays.

I wonder if Johnson is in line to take over. His comments seem to say he disagrees with the coaching.

Sorry, for making multiple comments tonight. But this kind of burns me. I recognize coach Johnson for his many years of sitting next to Jerry. But for the life of me I can't figure out why the Jazz hired him to do TV.. And the thought of him arm chairing it from the studio makes me want to scream. The Jazz are in the situation they are in with a rookie coach because Johnson, the long time assistant who the jazz were loyal to for 20 something years, just up and quit one night because... because of some BS story that no-one believed.

Sorry Johnson, but you passed on your chance to be the coach, so sit back and shut up.

Let the neg rep begin.

Favors did screw up on that last play, but he had 12, 13, & 2 in 24 minutes. He also played great D. Jefferson had 3 rebounds in 34 minutes. Corbin did not coach well tonight: Tinsley should not have played so much, Hayward should not have been on Gordon, and Al played too much.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to mellow again.

Why would anyone neg you? I don't disagree with you, but Corbin is such crap. Would Nate McMillan be willing to come to the jazz? I think he would be perfect for our young team.

Our PGs were outplayed again ....by Greivis Vasquez. This is where the main problem is folks. We need a wing who can create offense and get to the rim, but seriously, our PGs scored a combined 5 points in 53 minutes. Enes Kanter had the same point total with just 3 shots. You can't win like that. Millsap, Jefferson and Favors are not the problem. Hayward and Burks were okay. This team would look completely different with a solid PG.

Hey, has Derrick Favors developed a go-to move yet. I'm not sure I've seen one ---- other than just trying to dunk on everyone.

This. No swagger. Burks is close, but not yet good enough to pull it off.
What about God, aka Gordon Hayward? When will he develop that killer instinct to take over a game and will us to a win? Until I see that from him, I don't think he'll be as good as everyone is hyping him up to be. Sorry.

Once Jefferson is gone.

I don't think Hayward is that guy, really. Not quick or explosive enough. This is where a guy like Austin Rivers could come in, someone with a handle like that can probably get into the lane and make things happen. We still need Derrick Favors to become a dominant go-to player in the post, but I'm still optimistic about that happening.
