Hayward/West Incident - Bigger Issue ?

PS, Favors was looking angry earlier in the game. He was shoving around Carter and not backing down. Totally the opposite of the last Dallas game in Utah.

I think you're right on this. He probably heard a little bit at least what various people were saying about Dirk's actions to him last time around. Too bad the refs absolutely sucked and handed out a foul every minute to him. He's still very young and trying to learn the ins and outs of the league. Mental savvy and toughness are huge parts of one's game. Dirk has mastered this through bitching and flopping.
 
I think the idea is that Delonte West is such a p**** that Hayward shouldn't even address that he exists. And that is what Hayward did. It's high class Butler gangsterism, yessir.

I don't understand the "I don't care who it is" comment ? Is Hayward not respected by his own teammates ?

Even Corbin played it down and he saw it. Sloan would have gone nuts protecting his player.

WE ARE TOO SOFT. I agree that I wish Hayward would have at least turned around and walked toward West instead of commenting today in the press that his impulse was to fight him...yea ... right...good save.

Also, the league flipped out on Kobe when he called a ref a 'Fin Fa&&ot.

I watched the replay in HD and West looked to end whatever he said with "white boy"

Anyone know what he said ? If you make a racial statement in a game it is supposed to be an immediate ejection....

Don't understand why this is not a bigger deal for what West said, not what he did....

We don't know anything and there are many things we don't understand that we think we do understand.

You staying confused over things you don't understand yet you want to is actually highly normal.

If I were you then I would worry more about those who believe they understand and feel proud of myself for acknowledging that I do not understant.

It's stuff like this that makes me want to keep Watson, even if it's a 3rd PG spot, though I like Tinsley better as a player.

Don't you see how this is an attack on Mr. Precious? Definitely the bigger issue here.
 
If Roger Goodell was in charge of the NBA, Delonte West's *** would be suspended for the rest of the season. But instead, we have David Stern, who allows gun felons back into the league without reprocussions. Great.

One of my favorite things is that after Hayward walked around that then Dirk seemed to come up and have something to say to Gordo! Doesn't bother me a bit, I just thought it was funny that Dirk of all peeps would have something to say.

Yeah I noticed that he was mouthing off to Hayward as well. I do not hate the Mavs like I do the Lakers, Nuggets and Rockets but I certainly do not care for them.
 
Man it must be a slow news day. You guys are making this a bigger deal than it is. Besides the fact that this is basketball and you are STUPID to fight because it will cost your team and you money. If guys want to prove their toughness then join the MMA or take up boxing. I think West should be suspend for a game because of his actions but are you really surprised what he did. The guy is crazy!!! He happened to be guarding Hayward who happens to be white. I don't think there is a racial story unless you are oversensitive and make one up. Did you actually hear him say white boy or cracker etc?

The voice of reason. You can tell by the way that the young guys are playing that they are not pushovers. They may have been timid earlier this season but the have matured a lot since the beginning of the season. If Hayward was such a pushover then why would West make a point in going after him after he fouled him? I think that G-Money is starting to get noticed around the league and players like West want to keep him down.
 
Just a guess but by the "I don't care who it is" comment by Watson he might have been referring to West; not Hayward.

I think the general consensus around the league is that Delonte West has a screw loose. And not a Ron Artest/Dennis Rodman screw loose - I mean like a real ****ing mental condition which will probably result in him being dead or in jail within the next 5 years screw loose.
