The Manhattan temple is probably the worst of the worst but all things considered, does Scientology have a temple in downtown Manhattan? Does anyone?
I live in STG where you see those hideous 'stake' type churches around every bend. I wouldn't mind them as much if they didn't lay downs thousands of square feet of barren grass as to waste a bunch of water on in a desert climate.
reppedTemples are great. And spacious too.
Great, it needs to be done with every one of their churches down here in STG. We will be shortly having a water crisis and seeing that stuff really chaps.
I'd be more concerned with the plethora of golf courses in the STG!
+12 for using the word plethora.

That Payson one looks like a double wide trailer
I don't know what the OP was talking about, this is some of the most excellent architecture I have seen.
It inspired me to look up some more info and I found a quote by Frank Lloyd Wright who dubbed the Salt Lake Tabernacle as "one of the architectural masterpieces of the country and perhaps the world."
I guess apparently the roof of the building was built without nails and it said the building is considered nearly "acoustically perfect"... pretty cool, keep up the good work Mormon dudes.

I thought this one was really cool, I actually remember seeing this one many years ago when I took a trip to California...

Aside from the one downtown, Mormon temples are absolutely terrible looking. I am sick of staring at those eye sores every time I leave my house. Can't you at least put forth SOME effort into their design. Sheesh.
Edit: Specially the one in Provo. That one is the worst.
How do you figure?
Does it not to you?
Maybe if I got a closer look, but from the distance it looks like a huge double wide trailer.
