There is talk about the Jazz trading for a first round pick this year. The question is this, Who would trade their first round pick, and what would we need to give up?
The Jazz have a lot of pieces, including future picks. Not even considering picks, Harris, Milsap, and Jefferson are the most obvious possibilities. Our young guys are also possibilities (Kanter and Burks would be the only 2 options for KOC, not that I'm advocating to trade either of them).
So.... What is each player worth, and what team would want them? Would we need to give up a young player to get a team to bite?
Also, do Harris and Jefferson offer more to a team as a future player or as an expiring contract? In other words, will we have to take back a player salary for 2+ years to get a pick for either? This, imo, isn't a bad thing, as long as the player is only 2 years. We have at least that until we need to sign our young players.
