Following potential 2012 draftees

****, I just realized, Minnesota is probably in the best position to move up in the draft. Minnesota drafting MKG would be perfect. His lack of shooting would be minimized by the fact Kevin Love can space the floor as a 4 man.

They will have two lottery picks, and a handful of young talented players to trade. I could see 2 lottery picks + Derrick Williams for 2nd overall pick and a bad contract. Or do they do trade 1 lottery pick + Williams to move up and get Bradley Beal?

Did I miss something? They currently have 0 lottery picks and if they get ours, it will be the 15th pick.

I think NO would want Milsap or Harris. I would love to send Harris there for their #10 pick. They would have to be in position to get MKG for us to trade Milsap imo, don't think they would do it. I don't think they would take AJ, too much like Kaman.

Portland might take any of the 3 as well. They might bite on AJ for 11. Their fans would hate him though. They thought the offense was too stagnant with B Roy there. They would chew their eyes out watching AJ do what he does.

I don't know who Houston would want. Maybe we would have to take some salary back. I'm OK with that as long as its only a 2 year contract (or whenever we have to resign Hayward and Favors).

The new CBA rule which requires teams to spend 85% of the salary cap will work in favor of the Jazz when trying to trade Jefferson. No budget teams anymore, even full rebuild teams like the Cavs, Hornets, and Bobcats will have to spend. They could do a lot worse than Al Jefferson.

Boston, yes. Atlanta has Horford, don't see the need for Jefferson. Orlando has Dwight and Ryan Anderson (who compliments Dwight very well).

Atlanta wants to move Horford to the PF and trade either Josh Smith or Marvin Williams.
Orlando is likely to trade Howard at this point. He's killing them with his antics.

Isn't a little early to put Dwill on there? It's not his fault he got drafted out of position to a team that is stacked with PF's and tweeners.

Why Minnesota didn't draft Jonas still befuddles me to no end.

It's early to judge Derrick Williams. I for one was very high on him. He'll be a good player if he develops his shot and passing skills, but he's got a ways to go. At the time of the draft, Williams and Irving were thought of as the clear #1 and #2 picks. Jonas was kind of an unknown, but he started looking better in international ball later last summer.

I like Marvin Williams coming off the bench but not sure how big of a fan of smith I am. They also can't get us a pg in the trade doable but lower on the list.

OT: I watched this guy this weekend (among many others). He's not for this coming draft class, or even 2013 .. he's a HS sophomore. Aaron Gordon.

Looks like a bust to me. Anyone who can't dunk better than I can is an instant bust...... That being said, I use a 6 foot hoop and don't actually jump to dunk. On a serious note, WOW! Kid looks sick.

First time I had ever seen him play. Was incredibly impressed. He's currently ranked #4 in his class. This event had the who's who of prep ballers.
Julius Randle, Aaron Gordon, Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Jalen Lindsey, and many more. Holy **** there's going to be some SERIOUS talent coming to the NBA over the next few years. The 2013 draft, I continue to believe, will be relatively weak .. but the next two will be incredibly good.

The way the Jazz seem to be progressing, they won't be big players in those drafts without a trade. As always, thanks for sharing some information. It is much appreciated.

Hear ya trigg .. I'm hoping for the Jazz to trade their scrubs to the Nets for lottery picks .. for years to come.
