How is everyone going to feel when Josh Howard and Bell come back?

Rumblings are that we might get some guys back for the playoffs. Do you think that's a good or bad thing?

I for one want Millsap to play the three in the playoffs. I hate Bell and don't mind Howard. But I'm dreading the fact that they might come back for the playoffs and start taking minutes again.

I vote for them to stay on the bench as much as possible. They'll probably just come back and screw up chemistry.

Booooooooo

If they rob the youth of their minutes, I'm going to feel like ****.

The reason we have been winning is because Miles, Bell and Watson are off the floor. I Like Watson as the backup but Tinsley has been doing way to good all season to just rot on the bench. Howard coming back gives us depth but as far as im concerned Bell and CJ should be gone this summer.

I'm ok with Howard. Bell can stay gone.

no team was ever hurt in the playoffs by having depth.

that said, to me the real value of making the postseason is that it gives guys like burks a chance to understand playoff basketball and get reps in that setting. so if bell/howard/cj wind up taking away his minutes, i'll be disappointed.

hayward's playoff role is a little more safe, i believe. i think over the course of the last 2 months he has established himself as more than just a rotation guy.

Bell won't be back - I doubt he's even injured. He'll probably be traded in the offseason.

I hope Howard won't be back.

If both come back I hope Corbin has the balls to keep Bell off the bench and keep starting Hayward at the 2. I think Howard starting at the 3 is worth a shot. I like how well Carroll has been playing as of late, but Howard brings a little more play making ability I think the 1st unit could use.

My main concern is how long it takes the older guys to get back into game form. When Josh out last time it took him a few weeks to get back into the groove. Both he and Bell have been out for awhile.

I would love to have Bell, but he is probably going to be in a slump and he doesn't really have enough time to find his shot again. If we could get the same Bell that was lightning it up with his jumper in January/February, I would take that over Carroll or Howard.

As far as Howard goes, we need him to. With CJ out, we really don't have a reliable bench scorer, as Burks has been pretty inconsistent and doesn't put as much pressure on the defense as he did earlier in the year. Howard would give us someone who could score off the bench, and I don't think he ever got a chance to benefit from the superior backup PG Tinsley.

well i wouldnt consider bell starting depth.
bell is worthless.
and watson ove tinsley aint considered depth either.

just saying playing a bad player infront of a good player aint considered depth
especially if watson and bell complain aboutt heir minutes and get 24+ minutes each.

so "depth" will hurt the jazz.

but thats just my opinion

And as far as the playoffs are concerned - I'd rather lose in 5 games giving extended minutes to Hayward, Burks, Kanter and Favors than to lose in 6 games with Howard and Bell.

Reliable and CJ should never be in the same sentence.

I like Josh - he has obviously worked hard to be back and wants to contribute, so I can appreciate his effort and his attitude. That said though, I don't think either of them should play meaningful minutes. We don't want to mess up our chemistry.

the team has played better without them. Bell, Howard, CJ and Watson need to stay gone. I actually like Howard and don't mind Watson or CJ. But the team has played better without them. So they need to stay gone.

I'm with Candrew. I don't believe Bell was really hurt. I think they pulled a Lamar with him. The only difference is the Jazz know how to keep their **** in house.

Like Candrew, I doubt Bell comes back or that he's even truly been injured. As far as Howard goes, I like the guy and like what he can bring but quite frankly, have an aching desire to see this Millsap-Jefferson-Favors triumvirate play major minutes when it matters most, especially against a team like the Spurs who won't simply be caught off guard by this lineup. This playoff series will be a good barometer for what the trio can bring going forward.
