Following potential 2012 draftees

With the GS pick more of a chance now, who do you think they will end up with. I think that it comes down to one of 4 players, Marshall, Barnes, P. Jones, or Lillard. I don't see anyone expected to be on the board as being a better pick for Utah. I expect davis, MKG, Beal, Drummond, and Robinson to be gone, which leaves one or 2 of these players to be available (depending on if its 8 or 9 the pick ends at). Any other players in the running, and where do you rank them. I am pretty even on all, with Lillard maybe being slightly behind the rest.

I think it all depends on the situation he's put in. If he gets in with a coach that lets him do whatever, he's going to try to do too much by himself and really struggle. He needs to go to a place with good leadership set up so he can learn from that IMO.

I still think his shot is streaky, but he will improve it. I'd like to see him improve at driving/finishing with his left hand, but I still think his first step is absolutely killer. If he can consistently hit a mid-range shot after that first step, that would be an unstoppable move. Needs to improve his defense, and while his handle is very good, I'd like to see further improvement with his ability to find other players. In the end, I think he's at least 2 years away from being an impact player.

I think he's a JJ. With more 'it.'

Yeah the dude can jump alright, but his first step and lateral quickness are terrible. Those are things that are very influential towards creating offense, plus his lack of a handle will hold him back. I think he definitely has potential to do well, but he needs to put a lot of work in.

I think Barnes is a pretty skilled player to be honest with you. He relies on his jab step a lot to get free, which makes it so that he doesn't dominate the ball to score. It doesn't seem like he slashes much but I think it is because his game is predicated on his jump shot, not because he cannot drive. His pull up is nice and not many players have that in between game. I think that he's a little undersold right now because he doesn't flash his athleticism as much as he could. Also, shooting makes up for a lot of sins on the offensive side of the ball.

Jae Crowder Aims To Lose Weight, Switch Positions At Pro Level

Jae Crowder hopes to lose weight prior to the upcoming NBA draft.

Crowder plans to shed 20 pounds from his current 245-pound, 6-foot-6 frame, while also refining his skill set.

“I want to play the ‘2,’” said Crowder, who played small forward at Marquette. “Being 6-foot-6, being able to guard the post can be tough for you, and I don’t want it to be too tough.”

Crowder averaged 17.4 points and 8.1 rebounds this past season.

“There aren’t many guys who can do the things I do,” Crowder said. “I’m trying to sharpen up each tool I have to be a guy the world has never seen before.”

:))))))))

Risky. It's funny how he says he wants to play the "2" when he is projected as a 4 in the NBA. He should be saying he wants to be a SF. He did play PF/C for college team, right?

I like the confidence, but quotes like these still make me cringe.

There are only two real positions in basketball. Crowder could say he's working on becoming a PG for all I care.

I would say 3 (low post, wing, PG), but yeah, I see what you mean. Still losing 20 pounds and committing yourself to being a wing player is a big change from what he did in college.

Quincy Miller to declare for the draft! Wow!

I think its a mistake he needed one more year where hes the go to guy and proved hes fully recovered from his injury

The Harrison Barnes I watched definitely dominated the ball, not sure what you're talking about.

I would take Quincy toward the end of the lottery. I still wish he had stayed in case we don't get the GS pick this year. Oh well.
