Game of Thrones(HBO Series)

I haven't seen BB(plan to start soon), but from what I heard GOT will reach it's peak in the 3rd season.

Well, yeah, I think the third book is considered the best by general consensus. But as much as I like Game of Thrones, I don't see it topping Breaking Bad.

Meh. To each his own.

Breaking Bad is an incredible show. I think Game of Thrones is a great show as well, but I think because I've read the books I'll just never think that it's as good as it could be. HBO is doing a great job with it though. Breaking Bad though is just phenomenal, the development of the characters is some of the best work I've seen done in a TV series.

OK I'm all caught up with this show and it does rock. Next for me is the Walking Dead then Breaking Bad. These high quality shows are better than modern movies I think.

Wow so is littlefinger the biggest douche or what? (ep. 2) Didn't remember him being so mean to someone before.

I have been very disappoint with how they're handling Littlefinger so far. Not as impressed with this season as I was with last season so far.

I agree. The only problem I have is substituting an actual climax for never ending cliff hangers. Kinda leaves me wanting after a while.

The ratings/acclaim for season 2 are much better than season 1 thus far. I think this show is soaring to success, personally.

I can see why someone would prefer The Wire or Breaking Bad to this show, I mean, you are essentially taking what are considered the best shows of all time and comparing this to them in its infancy. At least give it a chance to expand. I would guarantee that if season 3 plays out as well as it does in the book, people are going to putting it up there. Besides, as good as The Wire is, this entertains me much more. I would compare Game of Thrones more to a show like Lost, it's just extremely entertaining, but not really life changing.

Anyway, this season has been lacking in action somewhat, but the characters are so good that you don't even realize that. Just like last season, the beginning episodes are character development and then the poop hits the fan.

Best line ever:

"Do you want my brother to come in and help?"

Second-best line:

"I always hated crossbows... take too long to load."

Or you could watch 6 seasons stretched out over 8 years and have it end with a black screen and "Don't Stop Believing" playing.

Anyone still watching this? Latest one was crazy- someone killed off early. It was surprising.

It kind of surprised me when I read the books. As for Brienne of Tarth, man did they pick the perfect actress for that part. Just looking at her gives me nightmares. One thing that annoys me about the show, they changed Asha Greyjoy's(Theon's sister) name to Yara Greyjoy because Asha sounds too much like Osha and people might get confused.

Best episode of the season, imho.

I agree.

Overall this season has been somewhat disappointing for me so far. They're rushing and conflating a lot of story elements to a much greater extent than they did in season 1. They really should have pushed for this season to be a few episodes longer... a 12-episode season instead of 10 might have made all the difference.

I believe this was done because it looks like they're going to give Osha a bigger part in the series than she has in the books. As of right now, it looks like she's going to be the one to bring a certain somebody North of the Wall.

/Tried to keep spoilers out for the non-readers.

Interesting, good point.
