What's new

Howard gets the starting nod again!!

Unbelievable. Or at least, I wish it were unbelievable.

It might be genius on Corbin's part, but starting Favors instead of Howard (i.e. using the big lineup) seems like such an obvious thing to do to me. I fully expect Howard to stink again. If not, I'll tip my hat to Ty.

This is not even explainable. Even the national guys were all questioning the move. What a travesty if we are to be swept.....

Yuck. The only emotion i feel when i read this post is pure disgust. Howard leaves a bad taste in my mouth everytime i watch him play and chuck up shots. Such a worthless "vet".

But his "experience" is undeniable. When was the last time young players won a game? Never. Only veterans can play the game of basketball and win.

Not at all surprising after Corbin's coaching throughout the year. He's very conservative when it comes to playing youth--unless he has to. I think starting Howard is a big mistake, but what is a colossal fail is Favors getting less than 30 minutes. We will not win the game if Favors does not play big minutes. I loathe Corbin's decisions more than not.

Noooooooooooooooo.

****!

That really puts a hamper on my guaranteed win.

I think Corbin asks himself too much. What would Sloan do?

It might not be that bad of a move if we can get something out of Howard.

I agree. Favors better get big minutes. The guy is by far our best natural talent we have and we are not using him right. Can you imagine Cleveland sitting Lebron when he first came in just because there was a vet in front of him?

Im really trying hard to give Ty a fair shot but if he keeps this up, im going to be calling for his head too.

Cmon Ty, get out of your own way, out of Sloan's shadow, and do the smart thing. Stop over thinking this.

On a positive note, he won't be here after this year and next season, if we make the playoffs, we can start Hayward at the 3 and taking Howard's place of sorts, Raja, at the 2. Now that's something to get excited about.

Seriously though, Howard, Bell, and Miles may all very likely be gone after this year. How exciting is that?

That gets me as excited as what The Four will do next year. Man I hope they are gone.

Even if those players are gone, I guarantee that they will be replaced by some other washed up has been vet that will get a lot of munutes. There has never been a year in Jazz history where we didnt have some lousy vet on our team that the coach's cant get enough of. It happens every year with out fail.

There are three certainties in life

Death
Taxes
Jazz coach determined to play a terrible vet in front of a deserving young guy. No matter how bad they play.
They will get burn just to stick it to the fans, cause they dont know crap.

But Howard has The Experience!

Ladies and gentlemen....The Josh Howard Experience! Are You Experienced? and the wind cries Derrick...

So what happened to the theory that playoff experience makes you waayyyyy better? Hayward played far better than Howard and that was his first playoff appearance.

i'm not quistioning the greta corbin coach cus some posters on here would question my fandom.

all hail corbin
all hail howard.
hoping the game 3 starting lineup will be the small lineup:
watson
bell
miles
howard
evans
