Game of Thrones(HBO Series)

What is this show about?

then found out is was an alternate world.
thgen they kept complaining about winter. i thught whats the big deal, so turns out nobody knows how long winter last it could last years.
then somebody gave somebody dragon eggs i thought dragon eggs kewl jsut some round stones.
turns out they where real dragon acts. woman gets naked, smokes comes out the busye part between her legs.
i have no clue what it is about.
it has the king of death SEAN BEAN and lots of boobs

Last night's episode was good, but the way it started made me wonder if I missed something an episode. It was very sudden.

I tried to start watching this yesterday. I watched about the first 10 minutes. Pretty interesting. Then things got busy around the house so I didn't get to finish it. Is it worth the time to watch this whole series?

I don't read the books, so if someone who does can offer some insight it would be much appreciated. But is the assassin who owes Arya three lives, and killed his second person for her in last night's episode, as big a bad *** in the books as he's portrayed on the show? I hope his role expands on the TV show.

I just watched episode 1 from season 1. WTF? Does it get better? I'm having a hard time turning ep. 2 on. If I do it will be for no reason other than all the boobies I keep seeing. Mmmm... boobies!

Yes. The best thing I did was wait until I had the entire first season recorded before I started it. Had I watched the first couple of episodes, I might not have continued. It's a great series and by the end of the first season, you'll likely be hooked.

Just started season one, episode one. Maybe I'll get in five or six episodes before the Jazz game.

WTF were those things in the forest a couple minutes in to S1E1??? Grendel and ****.

His name is jaquen h'gar and he is a bad *** in the books as well. He isn't in the story very much but he is great in the short time that he is around.
Also there are theories that he can change his appearance and some believe that Jaquen h'gar is also Syrio Florel (the guy who was teaching arya how to swordfight). In the books and the show arya runs from the room while syrio florel is fighting the gold cloaks (city watch in kings landing) and it is assumed that since he only has a wooden sword and he is outnumbered that he is killed.... But it is never confirmed that he dies.

I can guarantee that Jaqen isn't Syrio, but I'll save that for another thread because I don't want to send out spoilers.

Anyways, Jaqen doesn't have a large story line in the books but he does play a very important role. There's a lot of hidden things behind his character, the group he represents and what his main mission in Westeros is. BTW, of course there are theories that he can change his appearance because he does change his appearance. It freaking says so in the books.

PM me with all the spoilers you can muster in regards to that. It would be much appreciated.
