What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

I didn't say it's no cause for concern. I said it's over-blown. Kid was ballin' this year and was very impressive in his NCAA game against UK. NO fear, at all. I like him .. not saying he's a sure-thing at the next level, but he has a very interesting skillset for a big guy .. he played PG (brought the ball up and initiated the offense .. not necessarily in a 'pure' PG role) for Iowa State and did it impressively.

He has no anxiety about competition that I have seen. He was visually challenging TJones to guard him. He's a tough matchup. Okay, enough on White because I'm not pushing him, was only discussing and he became THE topic. Back to us having no picks. :/

**** that, I'm pushing him. From all the interviews I have seen of him he seems like a good guy with his head in the right place. If we get a pick in the 20's and he is there, I take him over anyone. He is a risk because his style of play is so different, but picking in the 20's isn't safe, no matter who you pick. I would even take him over Quincy Miller.

Also, as PKM said, he was ballin' this year. He hadn't played competitive basketball in 2 years before this year and he was still very good.

I hate to agree with you on anything but I also agree that White could be this years Faried in the fact that he can come in and immediately contribute and that his skill set will be better than previously thought. If we were to trade Millsap, White would be a great replacement for him.

Locke mentioned this morning that he feels like a close comp for Marshall is Andre Miller.

For me I feel that Miller has a better fell for the game and has a larger arsenal of offensive weapons.

I know this is just coach speak, not the vid I'm looking for .. but at least a little interesting hear an ***-coach speak about Royce White.

Here's a clip of UK's next PG, Ryan Harrow. This is at the "Elite College Open Run." Love the kid's handles, explosiveness, and swagger. He's also a great athlete, a great passer and an average perimeter shot. He's very entertaining. For those that care, he is a transfer from NC State (Sidney Lowe days) where he signed after coming out of HS as a 5star recruit. Haven't looked recently, but DX has had him mocked around 14 - 20 for next year.
