What's new

Jazz would've gotten out of the first round if not for the Spurs

OKC, Dallas, and the Spurs would've beaten us no doubt.
Lakers, Grizzlies, Clippers would've been tough comp.
Denver would've been easy.

Denver took lakers to 7 games. Im sorry to tell ya but nuggets would of won in 5 or 6 games against jazz. Nuggets were clicking at the right time and nuggets bench is so much deeper then the jazz and its not funny.Starters

Ty> devin
Aaron A Push Hayward
Gallo>Josh Howard
Faried<Millsap but same type of player would of been great matchup to watch
Mcgee/ Mozgav push Jefferson. Jefferson more offense but those guys are legit 7 footers who he would of struggled against

Karl>>>>>>Corbin

Bench

Denver> Utah

Denver got better with nene trade. Also no way coudl jazz have beat clippers, lakers, okc, denver,
Dallas....Maybe would of beat memphis

if the Spurs didn't need the refs help, why did Duncun and Parker and Ginobli spend so much time lobbying the refs for calls?
and why did the Spurs coach freak out just because the refs let Parker get blocked one time by Kanter without a foul called?

You sound like the biggest whiner. Spurs are just a much better team. Why not tip your hat to them instead of crying. Must of never played the game before.

ncolorado: All conjecture and opinion , without a single drop of evidence or logic to support it. I'm not whining, I'm just stating the truth, which is that a team scores better and defends better if the refs gives them more favorable calls and let's them get away with more pushing and stuff.

Given this, why should I tip my hat to a cheating prima donna team that flopped -- and got free throws or drew an offensive -- every time the games got close?

If you don't understand these things, maybe you are the one who has not played the game. I notice you don't directly address a single point I made, but instead repeat the derogatory refrain, and them bring up a second derogatory remark, without saying one thing of substance. Good for you.

Its true. Refs kill you when you are struggling. It has a little chicken or the egg qaulity too it though. Not sure whats really going. But for sure, when you are doing really good the refs almost always start helping and vice versa. I think it has a lot to do with aggresiveness. When you are doing good you play less timid and you usually beat your guy to the spot and force a foul. Things like that. The refs I think subconsiously will call it a little lopsided. Not sure why. Maybe they get into it and subconsciously try to be part of the better team.

Oklahoma City would have destroyed us...
We would have competed with the Lakers...
I think the Clippers owned us this year...
We could have beat the Grizzlies :)
I would like our chances with Denver.
I think we could have competed with Dallas...

Oklahoma City would have destroyed us... - True
We would have competed with the Lakers... - Depends on corbin(ala howard fiasco), we would beat them if "favors minutes>jefferson minutes", "millsap minutes">"jefferson minutes", and "kanter minutes" = "jeffersons Minutes" and "howard, bell, miles, watson total minutes" < 5
I think the Clippers owned us this year... - playoff is a different beast hard fought 7 games
We could have beat the Grizzlies :) - agreed
I would like our chances with Denver. - sweep denver
I think we could have competed with Dallas... - hard fought 7 games

The Jazz wouldn't have beat any of the teams in the West if they played the way they played against the Spurs. That being said, if they had played in any way that resembled their last month of the regular season, they would have competed with any of them (including the Spurs) and beaten several of them.

so yur saying its corbins fault for changing things up?

I disagree. There were several players who didn't show up for the playoffs. Jefferson was only one of those.

losing is contagious. especially if the guy getting the most shots the most minutes is a loser.
don't you think it wil spread to the rest of the team.

whys should i show up bust my guts while on defense a strong hard screen is put and i get ****ed up by a hard hit. to only see my man penetrate the paint and big fat jefferson backing up and giving him a free lay-up.
while on the other hand the ball is giving to fat al and i get to stand around and if i am lucky i get to shoot a desperation shot at the buzzer.

yeah thanks but no thanks.

or why shoyuld i bother busting my got if whining gets you minutes

I guess it's your prerogative to place all the blame on Al Jefferson. Sure seemed more like a team failure to me though.
