Following potential 2012 draftees

Let me say this ..

Jazz are talking (that I am aware) to numerous teams about numerous scenarios ... but HOU is the team that is in talks on a daily basis. That makes something happening, in my mind, more likely.

Im not cool with Sap AND Kanter. I have no idea why they want Sap, when they have several decent 4s. In my mind, it would make more sense targeting Jefferson.

Reasons are there. But the deal I outlined is a not approved nor would be .. so sit tight and enjoy the talks (my best advice).

Ah puke, after the Sap and Kanter info, it's no wonder you were getting neg repped PKM.
Not that I would do it though....lol

That trade would mean Jefferson getting 35+ minutes every game next season. Jefferson getting 40 minutes next season would be worse than going out with a hot girl that turns out to be a man.

Thanks for the info!

I'm not including 'my' thoughts in these talks as to not confuse what may actually be going on. Having said that, the Jazz are also actively talking with BOTH NO and CLE.

That is very intriguing to me. I like where both of those teams are picking in both rounds.

I've long held that Cleveland's 20something and early second-round picks can be had. No way they want to bring that many rookies to camp next year.

I liked Candrew's idea to swap Okafor and Jefferson.... letting Okafor split minutes with Kanter.

I'll say that, from what I know, (and please understand what I know is only from certain scouts, player personnel, media .. meaning I know near nothing) .. the Jazz are most actively talking with 1) HOU and 2) CLE.

I'm very against trading Kanter, but if they do I guess it's a sign that the Jazz don't see much coming out of him. IDK, I just don't see any front court players that I would take over Kanter in this draft other than Davis of course.

I agree with this. I think Kanter will be a top 10 C within 3 years. Only thing I can get behind is if we can fix multiple positions with fewer players.

I know Kanter has his limitations, but I just hate giving away a C that has as much talent and work ethic as he does. I really think that would come back to bite us.

Morey is the biggest number crunching GM in the league, it is well known. I doubt Jefferson performs well in any of his adjusted +/- measurables. It looks like a good fit on paper, but Morey may well have 0 interest in Al Jefferson.

Thanks. If the Jazz could get Cleveland late first and early second I would be very happy with a Royce White and DMiller or a DLamb and DMiller draft.
