Favors and Hayward added to team USA

You know why he rolled his eyes at you?

Because you are a grown man asking another man for his autograph. I roll my eyes at you for doing that. Plus, what do you expect. You are just another person in a long line of people asking for an autograph. Im sure he was burned out and probably wanted to go home. I would hate signing autographs too. He is just a normal guy who just wants to ball. Not sit at a table, sign a bunch of autographs, and kiss a bunch of fans asses. Thats got to be hard to sit through all that. It takes a lot fake smiles and laughs to get through that. I couldnt do it. I would stand up and yell at all the idiot losers standing in line and say I am only signing kid autographs. Grown men, go home.

I would expect nothing less from you BluesRocker. I guess it doesn't matter to you that these "Grown Men" are the ones that make and spend the money to keep something like the NBA going. Yea, they should all go home.

Yeah, he was burned out with less than an hour into the autograph session set aside specifically for season ticket holders. He wasn't burned out for the fat old rich looking guy, or the hot teens, but he got tired for me. And he was the only one burned out. Carlos was cool. Memo was cool. Ty was cool. The very nicest person, the one who looked directly into my eyes and smiled in a way I believed was sincere was Sloan. But Deron was tired. No, no he's not a douche and/or I deserved it. Sure.

Ya know what though, when people act like a douche to me even if they have a reason to be a douche, I call them a douche.

Deron Williams is a giant douche!

If he asks you whether you want silver or black, just pick one damn it.

Deron Williams was the first "celebrity" autograph I had ever gotten. I didn't know I was going to be able to pick a color until he asked me. I was genuinely excited like a school boy to get it. My father passed away the year before and a huge part of my father's relationship with me was watching Jazz basketball. I was sentimental and excited and this was one of the perks of spending 9K of my father's life insurance money when I should have spent it on something besides lower bowl season tickets. Every single other person on the team was cool about giving season ticket holders autographs. Everyone but Deron.

I have never asked any one for their autograph ever. Nor do I ever intend to.

Having said that Deron needs to sit there and smile and at least pretend to be entertained/interested for the fan base. That is part of what they pay you extremely well for. So suck it up and smile.

I was at the same season ticket autograph event, and I think you should cut Deron some slack. He was the most popular player on the team by a wide margin. While it was relatively easy to get everyone else's autograph, Deron's line was packed from start to finish.

You can say that they make millions of dollars and should put on a good face ... and I think for the most part they do. But sitting around signing a bunch of stuff doesn't sound like a good time to me, and I'm sure it's not particularly enjoyable to them.

If you want to say that Deron is a douche and a prima donna, I have no problem with that, but I wouldn't use an autograph signing as the justification.

I also went to the same autograph session to check some of the players out up close. I took a look at the gigantic lines and said screw that. I guess I just dont understand wanting someones autograph. I kind of think its rude too, to be bothering someone with it. Most people fail to realize that these guys have to endure this every where they go. I think people should give them a break and give'em some space. Good grief. Just because they get paid a lot doesnt mean they should have to try and meet the demands and cater to thousands of people(mostly lame). It just not possible for everyone to get to chat with players and get autographs. So can you imagine how much pressure is put on them when thousands of people are pushing you for something? So when someone looks irritated from being bombarded with requests, maybe you are pushing the limits. But noooooo. God forbid anyone think outside the box and put themselves in someone elses shoes.

Why did you go to the autograph session if you are too cool for autographs? Hmmm?

If you think Deron is a douche you'd hate Lebron James.
He doesn't sign or even acknowledge you. I was visiting people down in San Antonio, and had no idea I was staying at the Cavs hotel, or that they were even in town.
As I begin to see players around the hotel, in the elevator, and at the pool I was surprised. The place was nice, but not where I would expect them to stay.

As the team bus begin taking players to the game two young kids probably around ages 4-6 were dressed in Lebron jerseys. I kept seeing them walk around
the hotel in serach of their idol. Finally I had to see the big moment. I got a drink in the lobby, so I could watch it go down. Finally the star appears.
He stuts through the lobby and to wear the boys are waiting. The boys quielty go up and hold out their pictures with a pen to sign. Lebron blows right through them,
without even a nod or acknowledging their existence. They are crushed. Tears down the face, and everything. Now that is an *******.

Maybe you are right, maybe he just had an off day. I also agree that an autograph session is probably less than enjoyable. However first impressions are a powerful thing.

Edit: @Revo yeah that is how I see Lebrona cting as well. That is why I am not a fan of his despite his skill. He is all ego.

Also wasn't John Stockton notorious for not signing autographs?

Since people are commenting on their autograph experiences from Jazz players despite the thread topic, I wanted to summarize my experience. Back in the day, my dad and I used to watch most Jazz games together and we had a chance to go to an autograph signing for Karl Malone that was supposed to be a 2 hour event. Karl showed up about an hour and a half late and left after less than five minutes. Before and after he was there, Jazz people were apologizing and seemed both upset and embarrassed. We were like 20-25 people from the front of the line and yet never got ANYTHING. I have seen players and coaches on their free time and with their families, but have never asked for an autograph, because they were on their family time, however this was an official event for his job and was to be a two hour event just for autographs and photos. Inexcusable. I've know other people to have similar experiences with Karl as well at other events. I loved watching Karl play basketball, but he was a joke of a man.

He was douche to me when I was getting a jersey signed at a season ticket holder autograph "party."

It was a party if you consider standing outside the ESA for 1 1/2 hours so that I might be close enough to the front to get more than Deron's autograph, then running straight to Deron's table, then stand in that line for 45 min (which was great and only because I already waited outside for so long), then watch Deron smile and flirt with the high school chicks in front of me, then lose the smile when I step up and roll his eyes when I said it didn't matter if he signed in silver or black, shove the jersey back at me without looking at me and then warmly welcome the next person in line. I'm really not sure what I did wrong. Probably being an overweight white guy in my 30s with my far from super-model looking wife. I mean, Deron is just cool like that.

denying yourself a diet and sex change operation is what you did wrong

Blues is banned??

It looks like he let the cat out of the bag up above there in post #68. Seems he had a duplicate account. Don't know if this is why he was banned.

It appears he is now riding the pine for 2 weeks for getting a third infraction. Doesn't look like a perma-ban to me...

The infraction was unrelated to responding to his own post.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oops Blues. Now we KNOW you are someone else.

I must be experiencing some serious sequential brain diarrhea, but I don't know why BluesRocker quoting himself is proof for a duplicate account...
