Cy, you will notice from the time stamps that I had already given it a rest in this thread for 3+ hours. No one asked you to follow me to another forum.

Agreed. But honestly with Jackson leaving and Kobe staying that was going to be a hard coaching role for anyone. I'm sure more than once Kobe took Brown aside and tried to explain how the plays they were running worked.
 
I'm still wondering why they didn't hire Shaw. I always heard that Shaw had a good relationship with those players (especially Kobe), had won championships with the Lakers (giving him more support/fan base), and would have kept things basically the same as Jackson (like not scrapping the triangle).

Brown isn't a bad defensive assistant. But I don't think he has the leadership or knowledge for offense to really succeed.

The Lakers offense seemed to be exactly the same crap Brown used in Cleveland even though Lebron and Kobe are two completely different players... And Bynum/Gasol are completely different than Big Z and Varejao.
