Jerry Sloan interested in Magic coaching job

Heard this on Rome today and LOLed. Rome said something that went kinda like this "Can you imagine Management coming to Dwite Howard and saying good news, we found a coach. It's Jerry Sloan. Can you just imagine Howards Face. This is a guy that thought Jeff Van Gundy was to tough and rough around the edges. Sloan would come in and it would be go time." (here is the funniest part) "Jerry Sloan is more than rough he'll throw down with anyone. The only things Sloan needs in a fight are a 2 fists and a reason.................... he already has the 2 fists."

Howard wouldn't know what hit him if the thought JVG was to hard on them.

I would LOVE to see what Sloan could do with the Bobcats team, especially if they can land Davis, or Thomas Robinson. If he could seriously improve the teams record from last season, I think he would be essentially cemented as one of the best coaches in NBA history, no-debates.
Ewing is out in Charlotte, and Sloan is still in the running. The description of what he wanted in a new coach by the Bobcats' GM at the lottery last night sounded like he was describing Sloan. And Thomas Robinson would thrive under Sloan, and they have Cory Maggette on the roster, a player the Jazz tried to get when Sloan was still with the Jazz. I'd say this scenario would be a far better fit than Orlando. Living on the FL coast and detesting the Miami Heat, would love to see Sloan in Orlando, but it would be a rocky road there for ol' Jerry. A ton of distractions for a guy who just likes to coach and develop young guys. Orlando is a MESS right now; not a good fit for Jerry...

I thought the same thing.

C'mon, MJ, you knocked Jerry's Jazz outa the playoffs a few years ago; you owe Jerry one!
Kemba Walker & DJ Augustin at PG, Maggette (whatever he's got left in the tank) at SG/SF, Biyombo at C, and picking Thomas Robinson in the draft for PF. That would be a nice group for Jerry to build on...
Would love to see Jerry back on an NBA sideline!

I didn't read this thread. But this is Jerry's best spot. They'll trade Dwight and usher in a whole new era that Jerry can shape. Still, if he doesn't update the hard drive, they won't get where they need to go. On the plus side, I think Jerry might be able to adapt a little bit so long as he has talent to work with.

Modern Jerry? I'll believe it when I see it, but this would be a good place to see if he can change.
