Bottom line on why the Thunder won!

Stunningly, the Thunder won the mental game, from Scott Brooks getting better strategic results than Gregg Popovich, to Russell Westbrook replicating a true point guard better than Tony Parker (Westbrook had 44 assists in the series to Parker's 38). The Thunder made a higher percentage of shots than the Spurs, the league's best shooting team. And the Thunder, who turned the ball over more than any team in the league during the regular season, showed a greater appreciation for the value of possessions in playoff games than the Spurs, who coughed it up a whopping 95 times in the six games.

....I tip my hat to them....while I eat crow this morning. I don't think the Heat or the Celtics have a chance in the Finals! Of course, I may end up eating more crow if I'm not careful!

I for one thought the Thunder would have to to wait another year to get to the Finals. If it's Boston-OKC, the Thunder will run wild and win in 5. If it's Miami-OKC, The Heat will win in 7. I just can't picture LeBron losing for a third time in the Finals before winning a championship.

He may not lose a third time in the finals but I think he will have to wait at least another year before that third finals. Boston wins tonight and that is that.

We'll see. I'll be rooting for the Heat.

I did not mean that as a prediciton. Just pointing out that Boston is up 3-2 and the game is in Boston tonight. Personally I would like to see Boston beat the Heat. Then OKC beat Boston

Yeah, I thought it was crazy that OKC was able to turn that light on and keep it on to actually share the ball. They hadn't really done that consistently all year and they got it done. A big part was playing Sefalosha more, and Ibaka draining his shots.

Durant is the best player in the league.

that's why.

The other reason? Ibaka came alive. That one game where he shot something like 11-11 was the most perfect time to have a career game. If he had shot his normal percentage the Spurs would have won that game.

Regardless of whether or not the Heat make the finals, it's the year of the Thunder. Heat have too many problems.

I hope so! I just can't stand OKC..... mostly because they got so lucky with their draft picks.

Come on that is silly.... luck has nothing to do with Portland drafting Oden. OKC is easily second favorite team after Jazz now. Just listen to Durant talk, so humble and professional, always gives credit to teammates and coach first and downgrades his input on the game. Such a difference from "me first" primadonas from Heat.
