Hornets....

Yet you waste your time posting pointless comments that have nothing but criticism with no resolved solution. Good Job, you are a genius at managing your time.

I will admit that I enjoyed the smug condescension that I infered in this post. Wether or not that was your intention I enjoyed it.

Harris isn't enough for Ariza + #10, right?

^ if so, that'd be a dream ^

It might not be that far off.

I would think we would have to throw in some kind of future 1st for that to even be plausible.

I was thinking the same thing. But, for some reason, it started to sound like too much. Maybe a lottery-protected first? Maybe a second-round pick?

Can we use the TPE in conjunction with a player?

Eg. TPE Memo + Bell for Ariza + 10

We are in essence trading away $3 million in contracts for $13 million in contracts + Draft pick ($2.5 million) so we end up paying a lot more. But for the 10th pick, we dump bell for a more serviceable player (albeit overpaid) in Ariza who pushes Gordon to the 2 and replaces Howard (who I think is out). Plus we still hold Jefferson.

Trading Jefferson for Okafor AND Ariza is terrible. It's something like $17 million for $38 million back. Okafor is too similar to Kanter (today - not in 3 years) and he is not cheap. We don't get any young assets or a draft pick but we are taking on 2 bad contracts in exchange for a near 20-10 player who doesn't fit particularly well with our offense. I wouldn't touch that trade if it was labeled 'Perfect, supple breasts'.

Draft buzz: Hearing that teams calling Hornets being told that it'll take more to get No. 10 pick than taking on Ariza or Okafor contract

The Charlotte Bobcats are shopping the second overall pick, according to multiple sources.

... so Devin Harris isn't "more"?

He is. I guess I didn't cursh everyone's dreams. Really hope our starting PG isn't traded for Marshall or Lilliard otherwise we'd be running the point with Tinsley until the rooks settle.

Bobcats should probably trade the #2 if they can get some proven production. The #2 pick is the scariest of them all this year, imo.

I've long said that the Jazz shouldn't take on salary for 2013 off season, but I would do if for Ariza if the Jazz got the #10 pick.

Unfortunately, Harris isn't enough, and I'm not sure the Jazz want to be trading picks with protections right after being handcuffed for a couple years with the last one.

I'd likely do it for Jefferson, though. Not sure if either team would want to do Jefferson for Ariza and #10.

Would Cats take Millsap for the #2?
Would you trade Millsap for #2?
Cats probably would want more though.

I was just thinking the same thing. Millsap is great for his contract. We might need to take something else on or throw in the GSW pick.

Jefferson, GS Pick for Tyrus Thomas, Maggette and 2nd Pick would probably get it done. Bobcats would want us to take Maggette and Thomas contracts. I would take Maggette's contract but I don't like Thomas's contract.

Imagine if we could do that and then swing Harris, 2nd rounder for 10th Pick and Ariza and draft Lillard.

Lillard/Tinsley/Watson
Hayward/Burks/Maggette
Kidd-Gilchrist/Ariza/Carroll
Millsap/Favors/Thomas
Favors/Kanter

Not sure I would do it but it's a pretty damn good lineup
