Jazz has 3 roster spots still available. One is reserved for a 3rd PG (whether it's Gaines or someone else). So if the Millers want to spend the money, it's certainly better to fill the roster with Turiaf vs. keeping Jeffers (or Evans).

Anyway, why is Turiaf here? He's a Knick. It's not like he's a free agent trying to find a team.
I have a feeling he's insurance in case Portland does offer Fes a contract. He's was traded to NY, using Harp's TPE or just trading assets for him is still not out of the question.

Well, Turiaf costs 4. Fes was going to cost close to 2. So adding Turiaf only really adds 2-2.5 to the bottom line. Could be a swap of Turiaf and Fes (in an S&T), though I doubt it. More likely, the Harp TPE comes into play.
But he does have corn rows.

Also I remember the Jazz being very interested in him during the draft, I think they even brought him in 2x to workout, so the history of interest is there and using this summer alone as an example if the Jazz have shown interest in someone they can definitely bring them back years later.
I like Ronny T. I think he would be a great addition.
It seems he would be the alternative to Fes, leaving us with Memo as our tallest player.
Is Jefferson/Memo/Turiaf at the C an effective option against the Lakers? I'm not sure. I think it sure would give them hell on the defensive end.

At the risk of being called a hater, I would feel more comfortable with Turiaf in the mix instead of Fes. But that's me. I would rather have a guy who I know is going to lay it all out than a guy who might do something or might get distracted by shiny things.
Turiaf is a goofball, too. We're covered. Sho nuff.
Turiaf blocks far more shots per-minute than Fes. in fact, he is better at everything, per-minute or otherwise, than Fes.

oops, Fes is way better than Turiaf in +/-. Forget it, let's just roll with Fes. Did you see how he was killing the Lakers with his +/- in the playoffs?
