I still am real happy they made it because i think the confidence of knowing There a playoffs team is going to be huge next season i think. Well see who the Wolves Take With our pick but i think they could end up sucking or maybe not i dunno But i know i wouldve been so pissed if we lost to the Suns And having a Draft pick wouldn't have made me not pissed i dont Think.

how do I post a pole? it wouldn't let me when i changed the 4 too a 2 in the options on the Webpage. I will add it in here if i can get it fixed or something.

Please just post under your primary username. Your attempt at looking like a stupid young kid is making you too annoying. OR .. start ANOTHER account and find another, more entertaining schtik.

Yes, I know you have to call me out, you have to defend yourself, that's okay .. just please stop being a total idiot. TIA.

Looking back at the 4 scenarios I made from best to worst

1) Make playoffs + get GS pick
2) Don't make playoffs + get GS pick
3) Don't make playoffs + don't get GS pick
4) Make playoffs + don't get GS pick

So yeah, it's been a crappy offseason considering there were 3 better scenarios.

lmao but dont you think the confidence factor means anything??

Im gonna have to side with Freak here, and say that making the Playoffs this year will turn out to be crucial for our core's experience, before we recreate a Finals run in the 2015 season. Besides, who needs more youth anyways?

Wat?

Even more reason to miss the playoffs. Spurs completely annihilated any confidence the jazz had. Plus, now koc may feel more compelled to keep the mediocrity train together one more season.

Who's Freak?

Who's Freak?

My post was sarcastic, I was referring to Freakazoid. Any other jokes you want explained, grandpa? I took that picture from Pulp Fiction, this film that was made in the 90s from Quentin Tarantino. Its a pretty awesome scene, and he shoots this guy just because he keeps saying 'what' all the time. Pretty cool stuff, I know.

I know you were referring to Freak, you hack .. it's just that you totally mischaracterized everything in your post .. if you're hiding behind 'sarcasm' .. cool, glad to know. Carry on..

Me and Freak got into a discussion regarding this exact topic a couple of weeks ago, and I was poking fun at him (at that time) for being so livid with the Jazz in terms of how they handled this situation in this past season. (https://jazzfanz.com/showthread.php?10719-We-Need-to-Talk-About-Kevin/page7)

I was just poking fun at him again, intentionally mischaracterizing his views on the issue. Nice try pops, but I got youth on my side. Maybe its time to lay off the Jack, you gotta hang onto those brain cells somehow ;)

Quite honestly, it's too soon to really guess just how much of an opportunity we may have missed out on. If the FO takes a risk and trades at least one of our expiring starters, then it will be less of a big deal. However, if they decide to make another run at a repeat performance with the same roster, then it will be a different story.

Anyway, let's wait until we see what the FO does with our roster going into next season before we try and make any final judgements.

One good thing came out of the playoffs. Corbin finally realized he needed to start Favors (even though we were already down 0-3). If not for the playoffs, we'd probably see Favors stuck on the bench playing 15 mins max a game for half the season.

On the plus side: Favors continued to develop, Millsap showed he couldn't take Boris Diaw, Corbin was forced to try to coach, Al Jefferson and Devin Harris vindicated themselves somewhat and protected their trade value.

On the negative side: The Jazz could have had a pick around 13 or 14, which would probably give us a back-up big or an easy shot at Marquis Teague (assuming we care).

I'm glad we made the playoffs. Getting our asses handed to us by the Spurs was a learning experience on how we need to get better from management to the players, but even more valuable was the season, going from a crappy team to a pretty good team, winning some pretty clutch games. The suns game was huge obviously, but I thought the Dallas game was even more impressive. I also thought that game was a must win. Making the playoffs will make the Jazz more desirable to free agents as well as our own free agents when the time comes.

You're saying that Saltair's Finest is Freakazoid? That would be seriously rich. I hope you're right.

I'm still happy we made the playoffs because I still believe the experience will pay off in the long run. Hayward, for one, was seriously overwhelmed by the stage. Because he's an extremely competitive guy I believe he'll be better next year (and especially when the playoffs come) as a result of this experience.
