Jazz don't need Korver really. I think the Jazz are trying to add shooters who can play both ways. Korver isn't terrible defender, but he is only getting older.
****ing garbage. KOC blew this one. And I'm pretty sure he blew the trade deadline (as in, there was SOMETHING that COULD'VE helped longterm for Josh Howard).
Whatever. I'm just mystified how the Lakers can get one of their 2nd rounders for cash and we get Peter Fehse for helping them (and the Clippers, probably) in a pretty huge way.
What?
My point is, I'll believe that Harris gets traded when I see it. I'm pretty sure Williams is your UTAH JAZZ's starting shooting guard next year, and that doesn't make me terribly giddy (LIKE him as I do).
How about KOC tells Dallas "are you serious? Yeah, we LIKE Mo, but we don't need him, we're building for the future, and you need us to facilitate grabbing our former franchise player. You need to cough something up, and Peter Fehse ain't cutting it, *******."?
There are always contenders/playoff teams looking to add a solid role player (just look at some of the late additions this year's playoff teams made). There's always a team that has expectations and flounders out of the gate and other problems all around the league where a $10 million exception (even/especially as a 3rd team) is a necessity.
Are these teams trying to get under the tax for the current season or generate more cap space for next offseason? If the former, one would expect those teams to be at least decent, and the Jazz would likely only land a late first. If the latter, Mo Williams is just as useful as a TPE. If you then consider the possible haul from a trade to a contender, depending on which opportunities you think are most likely to arise this season, you may (or may not) conclude that holding Mo is more valuable than holding the TPE.There's always a team that has expectations and flounders out of the gate and other problems all around the league where a $10 million exception (even/especially as a 3rd team) is a necessity.

The same could be said of the TPE before this trade went down.I'll believe it when I see it.
That is to say, I don't have nearly enough information to confidently predict what future opportunities will arise. I think that's probably true of both you (numberica) and BS as well....you may (or may not) conclude that holding Mo is more valuable than holding the TPE.
Help me out here. You're saying we got the rights to this guy?

Unless KOC has hinted at bringing Foster over, I doubt he gets much of a look. Dude puts up pedestrian numbers playing for a mediocre European club.So is that guy's name Shan but pronouced Shane?

The same could be said before this deal went through (or if the Jazz lost the game of chicken you're upset they avoided).no one should assume a deal will be made to grab something else to build with.
