Deng is the clear answer. I wouldn't mind Iguodala, but that's really just to be competitive in the next couple years. I think Deng makes us more competitive both now and in the future. He's a pretty well rounded player, in my opinion. I've never quite understood Gay. He puts up okay scoring numbers, but he's playing an insane amount of minutes. Everything else doesn't really stand out much and even becomes less impressive, once again, looking at his minutes. Granger wouldn't be a long-term solution in any feasible sense. Josh Smith, while good, not worth the money we'd have to pay him. Batum is the only one I could see also fitting into our future plans but I'm not sure how we land him.
What's the feasibility of picking up Deng? I know he's on the block but I'm sure the Bulls, like most teams, want more than we're willing to offer. As a side note, Harris may be a good fit for them considering their circumstances, but as far as something they'd really want I'm not sure. I'd be willing to drop any/all of Jefferson, GSW pick, Harris and/or Burks (I know this will be unpopular) for Deng. He'd fill a large (immediate and future) need for our team.
