Jazz trade Devin Harris to Atlanta for Marvin Williams (merged)

I like Joe Johnson. He is a good player. This will make them a lot better. I think Deron likes him too. Deron is staying in Brooklyn.

Im not sure either that this means a Dwight Howard deal or trade in the future is off the table either. We just might be part of a deal that sends Gerald Wallace back here.

They need Dwight to contend but they will still be very good with that back court, Gerald Wallace, and whoever else.

yes, this definitely empties the cupboard for dwight trades. so now DW basically has to decide 109M to play with joe and probably not win anything important, or less money to go keep dirk's window propped up a couple years longer.

Just going online and on SportsCenter: Hawks have agreed in principle to deal Marvin Williams to Utah for Devin Harris to shed even more $

Just looked up his stats and he's shooting;

3pt regular season 11/12: 38.9%
3pt off season 11/12: 50%

I'm liking how KOC is boosting our 3pt shooting big time here.

Hayward/Burks
Williams/Carroll

Yikes. It's better than what we had, but not by much, and we're stuck with it for 2 years. Well, presumably Carroll won't survive, and hopefully somebody else gets added, but that does not fill me with excitement.

You've been so dumpy lately. Harris for Williams (who has been under-utilized somewhat) is a great deal, ETO or not. We might be able to defend the perimeter this year.

Kind of a strange mixture of individual playing styles coming together on this team. This should interesting to watch if the big moves end here.

But just Williams for Harris seems like a solid enough trade apart from the whole meshing.

makes me less happy with our PG position, but obviously it didn't make sense to go into the year with 4 veteran PGs on the roster.

obviously a lot depends on if we can get marvin's devlopment back on track. he has kind of stagnated a little bit.
