My concern with Al is more that he doesnt hustle on defense.
That's as much a red flag that the dude is a complete dumb *** as it is anything else.I think there's reason to believe he'll keep improving. The lightbulb over his head FINALLY turned on: https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-...figured-shooters-help-him-open-001412437.html

He probably said that jokingly, poking fun at himself.

Big Al is getting better at passing the ball. He averaged a career-high 2.2 APG last year, and had a career-high AST%. I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 3 APG next year, especially if the team's 3-PT% improves.
OMG 2.2 ASSISTS A GAME???!!!?!?!? he must be the best passer ever!!!
If you seriously think Al is going to improve passing ENOUGH to even make a difference in the ENTIRE season, you are a moron.
1. Define "Enough"
2. Chill - I never called Big Al a great passer, I just provided evidence to show he's getting better. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think Al should be traded this summer. I would wait to see the growth of Kanter and Favors first. If they prove that they have grown and can play significant and consistent minutes, then it gives you the option to move Jefferson. If they are still struggling to stay on the floor, then I would keep Jefferson for the season and maybe beyond. What I wouldn't want to happen is for the Jazz to hold onto him for too long, knowing that he is not part of their future and let him go for nothing like they did with Boozer. The moment they knew Boozer wasn't part of the future, they should have traded him at the deadline.
1. "enough" He averaged .4 more assists this year than last year. Thats not even an extra assist more every other game. Do you really think that changes the game at all?
2. Do you think that the .4 more assists is worth it to keep him on the floor taking minutes from Kanter and Favors? Do you think that .4 helps validate us spending 14 million on him?
Do you actually watch the games? The Jazz offense is horrible with or without Al. Blaming him for a complete lack of execution is just plain ignorant. He can't pass out of triple teams when the other four players fail to time any cut or screen.
Posting up Al is the only semblance the Jazz have to a modern offense at this point.
If nothing else, Big Al is helping the young guys learn how to win.
