What do you collect?

Participated in a lab that we had to check out a variety of different Ascomycetes, this-one included (I think). I just remember our lab making huge fuss over it since its apparently becoming a problem in the basement of Triffo Hall, a really old building on the U of A campus.

I collect spores, molds, and fungus.

I have random stuff, one of them being an old Slimer. My wife just got me a small Delorean. I also like money with dictators on it.

Finally, someone got the Egon Spangler quote. I also collect money with dictators, my favorite being a few Iraqi dollars w/ Sodumb H00s4ne.

I've got that one. I'd like Kim Jung Il money but not sure if they make it. Castro, too.

Haters gonna hate, but I have a decent transformer collection. I just went into a crazy phase for a few months when I started gathering models branded by real cars.

I have nissan gtr, subaru wrx, mazda, and corvette. I also have tanks, jets, helicopters, and military models of decepticons. I don't know much about transformers, but if you get the ones straight from japan and made by takara they look pretty damn cool.

I used to collect basketball cards but I lost interest. I've recently started to collect rare coins.. something to keep me sane.

Collect those too.....have 146 HRC pilsners so far.

Would love to trade if you have any extras from places in need. I have 10-12 extra pilsners including some from closed locations

It's not a big collection, but I started collecting pilsner glasses from Hard Rock Cafe. Originally I only had them from HRCs that I personally visited, but later on a few of them were given to me by family or friends that picked them up in their travels (Bahamas, Ottawa, Miami...)

I collect Jazz, Bears, Braves, Penguins, and Utes autographs. Basically my favorite teams. Have close to 400 different autographed pieces. Most of them are cards because they're cheap and easy to store. There's a few signed jerseys, baseballs, and pucks, and I have several game worn autographed shoes from Jazz players. I also collect spoons from different places and states I've visited.

I still want pics of the Jazz stuff. Do it!

I used to collect basketball cards also but no one does anymore I don't think. They don't even make them anymore. I have jerseys, autographs etc of Jazz players like Stockton, Malone and Horny.

Oh, they make them. https://www.dacardworld.com/sports-cards/2011-12-basketball-cards They just don't seem have the popularity of other trading cards. I'm mildly interested in collecting them again. I think it would be fun if I can get any of my kids interested.

It was a shame when companies like Upper Deck, Fleer and Skybox stopped making basketball cards, looks like some are back. IDK about Panini. I like their autos but their regular cards etc suck.

Upper Deck still makes basketball cards, but they don't have an NBA license to do so, so their newer cards are of players in college uniforms. The bad part about Panini is that they don't release very many products per year. 5 years ago there were 15-20 new basketball products a year. Now since Panini is the lone licensed NBA card company, they only release 4-6 products a year.

One day I'll take pics of everything I have. Since the wifey won't let me have a man cave, most of it is stored in the garage except for my card collection. I have that next to the computer. I'll get a pic of my Jazz auto's within the next day or two.

I started card collecting in 1988 when I was 11. I'm still collecting today but I have spurts where I'm interested, then not so much. The last couple years I've kinda taken a break. The card business has changed so much over the past 10 years. Now the majority of collectors are money hungry *** hats, which is the biggest reason why I've started to fade out of collecting. It wasn't fun anymore. That and my funds took a dip for various reasons...new home, another kid, medical problems, etc.

Nothing beats collecting with your kids. My oldest two are girls so they really aren't into it. My oldest was for about a year, but now she thinks it's stupid. My son is only 2 so he's still a little too young to start, but I'm keeping a lot of what I have to help him out if he's interested when he gets older.
