Favor's Comments

Hey Yall first time caller, long time listener.

Is anyone else a little worried about Favor's comments in the trib today?

It’s not impossible to imagine that Favors could find a regular spot in the starting lineup alongside Hayward next season, especially if starting power forward Paul Millsap and his expiring contract are traded rather than extended.

"They said the same thing last year," Favors said. "I’ll come in just ready to play."

I like the dude, but he seems very hard to read.

Can't blame him. The Jazz need to move one of Al or Paul out of the way.

Should have done it last year IMO.

Should have move Al for Kaman at the deadline.

Anyone noticing a pattern here?

Is this just the beginning of a salty attitude, that inevitably leads to trading him?

Cant say I like to here this stuff.

The jazz did favors wrong last year. Btw I like the dude with the name durrrrr. It's like jazzyd's life anthem.

How did they do him wrong last year? He started over Millsap initially but was ineffective and Paul was handed back the starting job. And Favors was constantly in foul trouble when he did get mins. I'd be surprised if he can average 30 mins this season.

I'd like to hear what the original question was before I read anything into his comments. It was written as a comment/opinion by the writer, follwed by the quote which may or may not have been in context.

Im probably over-reacting, but he never comes across as happy in his interviews. Maybe that's just who he is, hopefully he is just super serious about his game, and has that mental toughness we are looking for.

Sigh, Favors was not in foul trouble. That was the season before.

Favors averaged 2.2 fouls per game last year which was much better than the 3.3 he averaged with the Nets. That argument is a myth. He regularly finished games with 2 fouls or less and 20 minutes played.

When Favors played more than 25 minutes Jazz won more games. I don't know how the Jazz can let him rot another season after what he did last of of the season an in the playoffs.

If they do, they deserve to deal with Favors being pissed.

Favors was more impactful than any jazz big and yet he kept getting subbed out. He never said a word.

But after a while that gets old, and you gotta speak up.

I have a bigger problem that his point is valid than that he seems to be copping a bit of a 'tude here.

Seriously, can we just ****ing trade Al for a guy that won't demand 40 minutes a game and 20 shots as a big? Please?

If the jazz bench him again I can see that. I think favors is better off in a small market. Once he produces as a starter he is going to learn it can be good to be a huge fish in a small pond. I predict he will not be going anywhere else.
