Summer League: Jazz vs. 76ers Tuesday 9am (wake up early)

Very Wade-ish type of move there....attack the rim, use your body to create space, and lay it off the glass. Burks better get at least 18-20 minutes a game this year.

I think Stockton can play in the league if he improves his shooting and gets a little stronger and quicker. I think he could be a very nice backup PG on the Jazz.

Burks numbers are absurd, is he playing as well as his numbers would indicate?

Yes, he is finding every seam in the defense and attacking it. The Sixers squad really lacks any kind of rim protector, so everything around the basket has been pretty easy.

His passing skills are NBA ready right now. He controls the game better than Ahearn, or Green.

Ahern and Green aren't NBA ready though. Stockton may be better than Watson but Watson is a veteran. I want a young PG with a high ceiling not a mediocre backup PG

Strange dude this Ahearn. 2 time NBAD-MVP, hit 110 FTs in a row last year and is a great 3 point shooter. When Kyle Korver and Steve Novak can make great livings being one trick ponys, you should think that Ahearn could do the same.

Kanter needs to learn how to play.

Exhibit A of why we can't trade Al right now. If Favors is the only capable big on the roster, we're in trouble.

I dunno. 10, 8, and 1 in 26 minutes is fairly reasonable production. And he'll probably improve some with some game time. I'm not saying he'll be able to replace Al's scoring, he wont. But, it looks like he can bring the rebounding, some of the shot blocking and superior defense.

I agree that is why I think he can play in the league. Now that players are going to Europe to play he can work on his game and come back and play for the Jazz. I would love watching another Stockton play for the Jazz. I also like what I see from Murphy.

The thing about Ahearn is that he has a NBA skill, which is his long ball shooting. Stockton is a good player, but his playmaking isn't great, it's just good. I don't think he is a NBA level playmaker. He is just a solid PG.

The only way Kanter is going to get better is play. He needs to play even if the team struggles a little bit. It is time for the Jazz to make a decision and let the young guys play and develop. Playing it safe will only put the Jazz in 7th-8th seed hell.

I wasn`t comparing the two players, only ranting about Ahearn and the waste of his skills.
