DeJuan Blair feels he may be the odd man out in SA

Hey guys. NBA.com just posted an an article in which DeJuan Blair feels that, due to the dearth of bigs in SA and his lack of playing time in the playoffs, that he might be on the way out. And his whopping 1.1 million dollar annual salary. Even though we have quite a few bigs already, if we end up moving either Millsap or Jefferson, I think he could be a good pickup. In his 21 min/game this past season, Blair averaged around 9-10 ppg and around 5 rpg. Not bad for an undersized power forward. I look at his salary and how he may be undervalued and the fact that he could be a solid pickup. Just a thought.

I'm not so sure about this kid. He talks a lot of trash on his own team. His tweets are out of whack too. If San Antonio doesn't want him there is probably good reason for it.

Uh, and how would he get the playing time he craves, here? If he's our 3rd big, Kanter's not getting enough time. If he's our 4th, he's not happy. We can find a smarter option than this.

Blair can score with his hustle. He doesn't get blocked 50% of the time either and has more moves than an up and under.

I doubt San Antonio will trade him, but I could see him going to Philly if the Spurs do. Having amnestied Brand, they need depth at PF/C and Blair could either start or be the 6th man. It would be a good fit for him. I wouldn't mind him in a Jazz uniform, but there doesn't seem to be enough room for him.

If you ask me, Pop made a mistake in playing Splitter over him against OKC. In the little time, he did play, he was much more effective.

Isn't part of the issue there that he's a high-level offensive rebounder on a team that doesn't value offensive rebounding much?
