Bynum to Houston? Why not Jazz?

Based on what? That he is a black athlete who has spent his entire career in LA?

Easy there One Brow. Stop looking for **** that isn't there. I just do not think he would. I have nothing more to back it up than someone saying he would stay.

I'm not saying he would. I'm just saying if the Jazz did do the trade for him, I would think they had some realistic thought he would re-sign. You are outright saying he would bolt if he were traded here.

To the first part I said I believe you are right and that if they did then yes they would have some faith that they could keep him. I guess you choose not to acknowledge that as it does not fit your narrative. As for the second part, welcome to a forum where people post their opinions all the time.

Guess what his answer to that would be

I don't think it would be "no". I suspect he'd just say "If you want me, then SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!!" Many players have certain teams they want to play for, but first they want that big long term contract. They can ask for a trade later.

Utah would have 20 million reason for him to resign.

Yeah but I think he could get close enough to that from another team with a location to his liking. I just don't see him staying.

Reason #2748 that Dwight Howard is the dumbest player is the NBA:

LA vs Brooklyn

Nash vs Deron - Deron wins
Kobe vs Johnson - Kobe wins
SF vs overpaid Wallace - Brooklyn....maybe
Pau vs Brooklyn - LA by a mile.
LA vs NY - LA by a mile. Tall, beautiful tanned, well proportioned women vs short, hairy Mediterranean women....beaches vs buildings...Hollywood vs Broadway.

LA is a better team, better organization, more talent, and better city.

#1 - Debatable. Especially if Dwight goes to LA
#2 - To early to tell with the new ownership and what not in Brooklyn. Big changes going on to right that ship
#3 - Pure opinion. Also New York is stuffed with socialites and model wannabes as LA is.

Maybe he's just scared that with Lamar and Khloe back in LA he wouldn't be able to get all his favorite candies anymore.

Yeah, because LA has had time to establish. Sheesh. Brooklyn has been trying to piece all of this together, be patient before throwing BK under a bus.

Talent and size is not the question for Bynum, it is his ability to lead and be a face of a franchise. I think Kanter will be about as good as Bynum is now, hopefully healthier, and has a quiet demeanor. Bynum only averaged 7 minutes per game his first season and not even 2 points or 2 rebounds a game. 2nd season he was about 8 points and 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. Kanter averaged 5 and 4 in 13 minutes. I could easily see him make the jump to 10 and 8 this season with another 10-12 minutes per game. This will be another season for him to apprentice under Jefferson, especially learning some more post moves and then he and Favors can start together the following season.

I like your enthusiasm, but I think Bynum will ultimately be the better player. Then again, his knees could go out tomorrow and that would all she wrote with him. Guess we will see what happens.

One more reason to go to LA. You KNOW with LA, you will win multiple titles. Brooklyn could turn into Miami....or the Knicks.

Miami just won 2 titles in the last decade and have added Ray Allen to their championship team this year. Of course Ray is old, but I can see them repeating with a more experienced core of players and LeBron with a title under his belt.

Reading a possible trade would be Dwight to LA, Bynum to HOU and draft pics and prospects to Orlando. Why don't the Jazz step in and offer the same type of deal Houston is offering? We could offer next years pick, golden states pick and a combo of expiring contracts and young prospects. So long as we keep favors. Can you imaging Favors and Bynum playing together?!!

While I understand the position that teams should do what they can to improve, I don't get why any team would facilitate a trade that consign it to perpetual also-ran status behind the super team it is helping to create. If you improve your team by, say, X%, but you help facilitate a trade that allows a team that's already better than you and who is a rival to improve by X+Y%, what the hell have you gained in the process?

I had less of an issue with Howard going to Brooklyn, given that Brooklyn (New Jersey) has traditionally been an after-thought (aside from two finals runs a few years back), but no way in hell do I want Howard going to the Lakers to help create yet another Laker championship run.

Shows that the entire lockout was a complete waste of time. Nothing's changed. The rich continue to get richer, the poor poorer, and the mediocre (e.g., Jazz) mediocre-er.

Huh? LA's organization is Miami's only better. Brooklyn's could be good...or terrible.

Go to LA. It's not even debatable.
