Hayward as the 6th man

Harden on OKC, Ginobili on the Spurs, why not Hayward? He is a great playmaker and plays a similar style to both of them. Burks is putting up good numbers and he could easily be inserted into the starting lineup. Plus Hayward is better off the bench, and he could pair together with Millsap to strengthen the 2nd unit. Murphy can even come in and play the 2 with Hayward at the 3.

Mo Williams/Tinsley
Burks/Hayward/Murphy
Marvin/Hayward/Carroll
Favors/Millsap/Evans
Jefferson/Kanter

I like hayward as the 6th man but i feel like he can have an impact without the ball, where burks needs the ball to be really effective. Since jefferson is in the starting lineup i feel that burks would be better being the main scorer off the bench and hayward is better suited to be in the game with jefferson.

That's how I feel. Bring Burks in with Watson and Kanter and Alec becomes no worse than the 2nd option (depending on who is at PF). Watson is basically there to bring the ball up court and pass to Alec so he can drive and make something happen, or kick it back out to Watson to reset and try again.

IF Burks can become a consistant scoring threat, which Hayward has yet to do, AND be a reliable defender and playmaker, great idea. He could back up both SG and SF to get his minutes up. Not sure Millsap would go for being a 7th man tho'...

You hit it on the head. Gordon is too good of a defender to not start. Burks could be that scoring threat coming off the bench.

That starting lineup would be God awful as far as team ball goes imo. We have a bunch of guys who aren't known for their passing.

I like the idea of both Hayward and Millsap coming off the bench. It'll be nice to have more than two preseason games so the staff can tinker with lineups a bit.

I've actually really been wanting this to happen. He's a lot less useful as the third option behind Jefferson/Millsap. When he gets touches, good things happen. Make it happen, Corbin.
