What's new

For the Kanter cry babies.

Ive thought that as well, but if you ask Enes, he is a mix between D12, Dirk, and Pau. He jumps like Dirk, shoots like Howard, and he is foreign like Pau

He never said that, he was asked who he models his game after and they edited it to make it seem he claims to have those characteristics.

Anyone expecting Enes to be more than a 14 and 10 guy are sadly mistaken. He is never going to be a go to guy in the post, but I think he can be a functional scorer when needed. He should get 3 or 4 put backs a game, knock down a few 15 footers, clog the lane, clean the glass, wear out the opposing center, and just be a handsome son of a bitch. What more are you guys expecting?

I think 14/12 is within the realm of possibility.

Meaningless show off "all star" type game with no defense and effort. How about you find some high school games where he scored 50pts and had 30 reb vs 16 year old kids?

It seems a lot of people would be happy if he turns out ok.

Not me. He better be at least a borderline Allstar, or he is a bust. You cant have your number 3 overall pick turnout to be just a solid bench guy, or ok starter.

I remember everyone explaining to me why ATL didnt care to lose Marvin, because they paid a 2 and he didnt live up to it. We will feel the same way.

You just cant whiff on high picks or it sets you back.

So far the only thing Kanter has going for him really is the chance that he could be an elite rebounder. Which is weird because he cant jump. The rest of his skills are a little shaky.

I'm predicting a 14/12 guy who plays good defense. That's more than just okay, that's a top 3 center in today's league. Some around here are probably predicting less, but that's just my take.

he's already shown he can be a MUCH better PnR defender. He's much stronger. He'll show himself to be a better individual and team rebounder the second he is able to stay on the floor.

All this means one thing: his game isn't comparable to Al's because Al has never been anything but a tricky offensive player.

One of my biggest issues with kanter is he reminds me of Jefferson once the double comes. He just dials in like al and bulls his way into a bad shot. I really hope he fixes that.

why so much hate, are you still mad because Jazz pass on Valanciunas?

no hate at all, but to me it is so funny when people still look back at that Nike summit game like it has any kind of value. This summer league or Eurobasket gives you more then that show.

The guy only pokes his head in here when Kanter's had an off game.

I just do not have unrealistic expectations about Kanter. He will be decent rebounder, maybe even averages double/double if given minutes and opportunity. But All star? Franchise center? Highly doubt.
